5.0 out of 5 stars my 4 year olds love it 1 Aug. 2003
By Suzanne Naranjo - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover
This is really the story of Raspberry Tart and how she thought everyone had forgotten her birthday. She's not exactly perfect. When she has asked only 1 friend to play with her and is rebuffed, she uses a sharp tone of voice with the 2nd friend who says no. This is a topic for discussion. My kids said she should have been nicer. Later on in the day, of course, there is a surprise party, so Raspberry Tart is happy. My boy/girl twins love this book. There are about 4-5 paragraphs on each page, so they have to use their imagination for most of the narration.

Young girls fascinated by anything Strawberry Shortcake liked this story. I don't think the story was particularly spectacular or anything, they just love the characters.
