An honest,no bullish#t account from a guy who has been there, got the tee shirt and had the ups and downs of this challenging profession,it is wonderful to be able to see his perspective and will serve me well on my journey, thanks Chris for such an inspiring and amusing book.
As a reasonably experienced performer of hypnosis I found this book to be an excellent read, I also loved Chris’s little stories in between the theory. I highly recommend this book and if you read it and watch Chris’s videos on YouTube you could go out and do a show if you have the balls! Chris really does tell it like it is and it’s the only book that I’ve read that I agree with about what hypnosis is and isn’t. Don’t believe the hype from expensive trainers and DVD’s etc do yourself a favour and save yourself time and money and buy this book! It’s not flashy and hasn’t been proof read or edited but is still perfectly readable and the content is solid gold!
Easy to read, humourous and informative and packed with anecdotes, giving both an insight into the magic of stage hypnosis and tips to the budding hypnotist. Doesn’t pull any punches about the reality of touring and establishing yourself as an entertainer, but also contains lots of hints on working with your audience and how to handle the more challenging audience members.
As someone who has performed hypnosis for much of the past 5 years I’m really annoyed - cause this book wasn’t out when I started! It’s a great guide as to how to perform a strong hypnosis show and I would certainly recommend it to anyone getting into Hypnotism
