I, an adult, however, use them to inspire written stories for children. This product is perfect for spooky tales. I simply choose 2-6 of the cards and use them to inspire a story. I recommend getting more than one set, so you can mix up the categories for more fun and challenge (for instance, try pairing this kit with the mad scientist or sea tales card decks.)
The beautifully illustrated cards are incredibly detailed, and have many elements on each card to inspire a story. For instance, “The Full Moon” shows carnivorous plants in front of a window. But look closely – some of the plants have sprouted hands and legs. One Venus fly trap is trying to swallow a cat. The watering can has a face on the spout. And outside the window you can see the headless horseman, riding under the full moon. You can create a story just from this one card!
You get 28 cards. Some of the best (in my opinion): the Witch, the Zombie, the Haunted Hallway, the Nightmare, the Runaway Eyeballs, the Friendly Ghost, the Scissor Man, and the Flying broomstick. You get such a variety of themes on the cards you can make an endless variety of spooky tales.
If you like to create spooky stories, to tell aloud or to write, get this set!
