About the Author

Livia Quinn grew up near DC—go Redskins!—then moved to the bayous of Louisiana—go Saints! Yes, she’s a huge football fan. With a life long fascination, read that: phobia of storms, and with severe weather a part of life in Louisiana, it was only natural that it would play a big part in her world. Livia’s Storm Lake series encompasses paranormal on the West end of the lake in Destiny and military romance and contemporary to the East in Larue and Thunder Point. But there’s always magic because what would life be without a little magic? Pick up a brochure on her website from the Storm Lake Tourism Board but beware, the lake is merely a figment of her fertile mind. Storm Warning is Book 7 in the wonderful Storm Lake series by the fantastic Livia Quinn!!! It is a Contemporary Romance, filled with suspense, action, adventure, thrills and lots of steamy romance. What happens when a stranger is wacked in the head by a beautiful girl?...amnesia and the wildest dreams he’s ever had!!! Poor Brenna now has to help this hunky guy find out who he is and why he’s in her neck of the woods. There are also bad guys waiting for them. I really enjoyed the revelations and discoveries she went through with him…awesome character developments here!!! I really enjoyed this book and highly recommend it to those readers looking for intrigue, mystery and romance.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Romantic Suspense I've Read! A must read! 18 July 2016
By N. N. Light - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
I’m a huge fan of Romantic Suspense and when I discovered Livia Quinn wrote this book right after Katrina, I had to read it!

From the time Brenna was young, she’s had premonitions. Her best friend, Declan, calls it a gift but for Brenna, it’s a nightmare. On the night of the biggest storm she can recall, Brenna has a bad feeling. She can’t figure out what it means, only that someone’s life is in danger. Gripped with terror, she knocks out an unsuspecting stranger trying to get into her house.

The Handsome Stranger (or HS for short) is knocked unconscious (thanks to Brenna) and he reminds Brenna of James Bond, especially when she discovers a gun in his wet clothes. Brenna knows she has to care for him until the storm passes or his blood will be forever on her hands. When he wakes up in a hospital three days later, he has amnesia and doesn’t remember a thing. Wait a sec, he does remember one name: Brenna.

Thus begins a romantic suspense filled with twists and turns. The more Brenna is around him, the harder she’s falling for him. He keeps her at arms length (while devouring her with his eyes) until his memory comes back. There’s a connection between them that neither can explain and when the truth is revealed and his memory returns, will their love grow stronger or be split in two?

Storm Warning is one of the best books I’ve read this year and if I had the chance I’d give it 5,000,000 stars. Yes, it’s that good! I spent most the book trying to figure out who the James Bond look-a-like is and what he’s doing in the middle of the storm. Suspenseful, swoon-worthy romance and Brenna’s best friend (Declan) is sensational comic relief. I will never look at Southern Comfort the same, thanks to Quinn. Run, don’t walk to your favorite retailer and purchase this right now!

Favorite Character:

Brenna. I found a kindred spirit in Brenna and not just because we have an unnatural fear of storms. She’s the kind of character most women can relate to, either they know someone like her or are her to a certain extent. Brenna has a deep-seated fear of lightning and with just cause. Yet, she battles her fear to rescue a complete stranger. No matter what life throws her way (and there’s plenty thanks to Livia), she manages to make it through. She’s such an amazing woman and I loved reading her story.

3.0 out of 5 stars A beautiful Valkyrie vs. a dark and stormy Knight 25 Oct. 2015
By Kathryn - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
I hate noisy storms. This story pushed that point for me. The author really makes the storm come alive. As well as, the characters. They are both strong, the female not a melting pot (except during the storm, but there is a reason) and even the secondary characters are interesting. Fever induced lust, a dark past in our hero, and a heroine that isn't going to deny for very long that the man she's been looking for is right in front of her.
