Very good, cheap and near exactly the same as a real zippo, parts are interchangeable and easy available (flints,wick,fuel etc).

Monetarily wise this is a cheap product designed for long term use at a throwaway price. Quality wise it is on the top side of adequate - packaging is basic, finish is basic (no rough edges, parts fit where they are supposed to and do that well but the rivet in the hinge of the one I received sits a little proud), the screw and the stopper on the spring (that holds the flint in place) are both loose - so if it goes flying you will have nightmares trying to find them :-), the end felt has a lovely little hole in it just right for the spout of the petrol can so it doesn't have to be held back for filling - great idea but it does mean you can't see how much fuel you are delivering. Looks are good if you like the silver finish of polished chrome. Function wise it is top-notch, does the job just great and far better than its 10+ year old predecessor buried somewhere under the new hedging.

Unlike gas lighters whose fuel dispensers are tightly sealed, the nature of petrol lighters is such that, if left unused, the fuel will evaporate. For this reason petrol lighters do not come ready to use. They have to be fuelled first. The amount of fuel delivered is unimportant providing there is enough to wet the wick, so you can put in sufficient for a day or top up for the week. When it runs out the wick will stop lighting. Unlike cheap throwaways, these lighters are designed for long term use so the flints are replaceable. As the flint wears down the spring holding it in place stretches back to its full extension. When it does that there may be inadequate pressure to get a good spark so it does need to be tightened from time to time - tighten it too far in the first place and you will not be able to strike it at all! Practise will enable you to find the happy medium in both cases.

For just under £3, this is a beauty - it accompanies me everywhere, and people seem to think that it's an actual Zippo. It's sleek, and the only other thing you need when buying it is Zippo lighter fuel.
It lights well (even in the wind, when normal lighters don't), and everyone who holds it wants to try all of the tricks with it.
If this one is lost, I'll definitely buy another one - it's worth every penny!

Absolutely love it, it came on time, actually 2 days early, at has a great solid feel to it, and works just as well as zippos, for a fraction of the price. Would reccomend to anyone A+++

Well made for the money, the insert is better made than alot of other cheap makes of petrol lighter, star etc. Case is made well and the hinge is well made, case finish is slightly poor quality, but again for the price who can argue.
Case is not of the same shape as Zippo or most petrol lighters. Chimney hole pattern is not the normal zippo style, but seams to work just as well in the wind.
All in all a good lighter for the price, that treated right should last a few years, maybe even a lifetime.

I bought this Zippo Rippo purely because I wanted to be rid of some small change on my account. When it arrived, it came polished and ready to be used. I filled it up and every since, it has been fantastic. Unlike other rip-offs of the classic Zippo, this one has a sturdy hinge, and the inside fits perfectly within the case. I would recommend this to anyone interested in getting a lasting lighter for an extremely satisfactory price!

The lighter came just as described.
In a padded envelope, inside a black match box. It even came with a warranty leaflet.
Chrome finish, give itshiny, brand new look. But leaves finger prints like a careless theif.

Its simple as this;
If you're looking for a Zippo type lighter, to use & play around, or your first lighter, get this.

If you're looking for a Zippo, seller sells too.

Id advice getting the engraving option, adds a little personality to your lighter.

When the lighters arrived I was pleased with them. I had to wet the wick with fuel a bit before I lit it, but it burn with a good high flame. For the money excellent. But my lighters were delayed a long time before arriving. The wick it a tad further away from the flint wheel than on a Zippo, so is less impeded by the nearness of the flint wheel in burning. Seems to give a better flame, as the sparks seldom would not light the wick. Stainless steel ones would be even better in theory than brass or zinc if you ask me. One star off only for delay.
