Pothos is the son of Hades, a birth bought about by a daliance with a priestess of Thule. Hidden from Thule as they were in turmoil with evil gods killing each other and draining powers, the priestess gave her son to Hades to bring up. Gefn is a Goddess of Thule, one of the 4 ruling gods with her sister Kara and brothers Dagur and Hroarr, and she has Pothos are mates. Not that anyone is happy about it as Hades and Drake and Hroarr through an absolute fit.
I loved this book, i very much enjoyed the fact that Pothos, like Drake, is very gentle and respectful of his mate and treasures her, where in some of the previous books the women were treated like posessions. I really enjoyed the settings on Thule and how we get to learn about the Thule gods powers and how different and much more powerful they are than the Gods of earth, but the problem they face is that the darkness is coming and they are going to need to work together to fight it.
Onto book 10, how is this the last book in the series arghhhh

This author leaves no stone unturned as she keeps expanding this world she has created. I loved the Guardians before but now we get the realm of Thule to even further entertain and excite readers. Yes I admit I'm not a huge fan of the mating frenzy these characters succumb to but the overall story arc is very imaginative and sucks me in every time . Aimed at those with an open mind this book and indeed this series is extremely well written, very creative and did I mention hot?
I was gifted an arc from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review
As the son of Hades and a Guardian of the Realms, Pothos has been gifted with immense power to protect the inhabitants of the four Realms of Earth. When the evil God Apollo is stolen and the Guardians are forced to wake Hades from his sleeping confinement, P is faced with a long held dangerous secret; that he was born of two worlds. Learning that his mother was a Priestess from the unknown world of Thule, Hades also confesses that P has been kept hidden from all who dwell there as his very life is in danger the moment their Gods learn of his existence. As P struggles to make sense of the life he has lived and what this means for his future he finds himself forcibly pulled into Thule by an unstoppable divine force. Bracing for attack, he instead finds himself faced with a threat of a different sort, a beautiful golden Goddess who calls to the very depths of his soul.
Absolutely fantastic read with brilliant characters. Loved this series. Very cleverly written. Highly recommended. 5*. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book from netgalley.
This is the ninth book in the series - and take heed of the warning at the beginning, this is not really a stand alone book. That said, Ms Jay has provided a quick primer to help out, and I must admit I found it useful too, as I haven't visited the Guardians in a while.
As always, we have a development in the underlying plot of the Gods, Worlds and Guardians - there is a quite dramatic revelation too, so be warned! Finally Pothos is heading for his chance at happiness. Because he knows more about the mating rituals thanks to his fellow Guardians who have led the way, some things are easier - but the identity of his mate is somewhat complicated and rather a shock to him, his father Hades and the rest of the team. He has to deal with a very unhappy couple of siblings who do not want him to choose their sister - but this is no choice, but fate. I loved the cats - especially the attraction to Vane, made me really chuckle. A lovely new dynamic to the bonding story.
We are certainly going to be on the edge with what has been foretold in this installment ... oh and a baby is about to join the fun!

Gods goddesses and their pets..
I wait with great anticipation for each new installment in the Guardians of the Realms series. There is just so much mouthwatering yumminess to savor.
This novel ups the stakes and brings the fierce and fiery mate frenzy to a new high. We are treated to some riveting developments that come thick and fast leaving you awed.
The guardians world is vast, but now we get this new realm of Thule to further our excitement and satisfaction. Ms. Jay weaved this new world flawlessly into the overall story.
Pathos, finally is ensnared in the mating frenzy with someone even more powerful then imagined. He’s a sexy as sin Guardian and a very dominant male. I liked seeing that he appreciates Gefn’s abilities and strengths. I also liked that they both accepted the fated mate thing, because their was a lot of other stuff happening.
Storm of Ecstasy is another cataclysmic, sensual, and sultry read! It’s a nice blend of romance and eroticism. If you enjoy explosive erotic paranormal romance and haven’t yet tired Setta Jay’s Guardians of the Realms series you are in for a fiery treat. Delicious paranormal goodness ensues. We are treated to another explosive read after another in this series!
Rated: 4.5 Stars

Gefn is 1 of the Goddesses of Thule & she has 2 large cats that are known as the Guardians of Thule & they bring Pothos to her wherein once they touched each other the mating frenzy started. This is the beginning of their story & I'm not going to tell you what happens next as you will have to read the book for yourselves.
But, note that this book isn't the last & there is 1 more to go & it's Sirena's story & it should be fun. Even though you could read this series as a standalone I don't recommend that you do because there are characters that are in the previous books that are also in this one.
This book was very good as it has lots of sex scenes, battles against the evil Tria & the good Guardians, God (Hades is awake & mated to Sacha, Bastian's mom/aunt) & Goddess Gefn (though she doesn't help out until the end), a scene where 1 of the cat's, Velspar ported itself to Vane (Spa, the other cat was where it was supposed to be) to rub up against him making Brianne Vane's mate to notify Pothos & Gefn to come & get the cat.
These Guardian books always amaze me with the depth of sensuality and the constant battles the Guardians face with the Tria. The descriptions of the beasts and Realms are intoxicating and never cease to impress the heck out of me. Setta Jay creates stories with LOADS of steamy, sensual, dirty sex, and plenty of sweet romance, feisty females, seductive males, and non-stop action. These Guardians of the Realm books are a FAV of mine and will be for a VERY Long time to come!
Storm Of Ecstasy gets a SIZZLING FIVE SHOOTING STARS! It deserves a TEN but since that isn't allowed FIVE it shall be. Its breathtakingly tempting, has just the right amount of dirty talk, and loads of surprises. And that ending has me VERY eager for the next book because it features one of many readers favorite healer. This book...heck ALL the Guardian of the Realms books, are a MUST MUST MUST HAVE!
Storm of Ecstasy is jaw droppingly fantastic. This book is full of panty-dropping passion, sword-wielding battles and other world discoveries- I couldn't put it down!
I know this book is mainly focused on P and Gyfn but.... Hades! Can it be possible for me still to be surprised by how much I love Hades?? His love and unyielding need to protect his son, P, is so raw and so pure. And Pothos.... his back story is heartbreaking, never being able to truly...(trying not give any spoilers)...let go and be himself... I am sooo happy for him!
I am super excited for the new characters introduced in this story and am on the edge of my seat to see what happens with..... all that.
Storm of Ecstasy ended in yet again the most perfect yet torturous way, I will be counting the days til the next one comes out, but it is ALWAYS worth the wait! I definitely recommend the Guardians of the Realms series by Setta Jay, you won't be disappointed!
This entire series has been fantastic! I will say that each story builds upon the last, but more so in books 8 and 9 - please don't start with this book (and honestly, they're all worth reading).
This is the story of Pothos (aka P), Hades son. He's a powerful Demi-God who has always been a low-key character. All the Guardians are amazing in their own ways, but P has always been intriguing.
Gefn is also a very powerful goddess from a different world, Thule. We learn more about this world and it's history, but much is still to be discovered.
If you've been following the series then you know the relations between the Guardians and Thule are a bit strained. We're still missing Apollo and have no idea why the Thulians want him, or how they plan to use him.
The build-up to the conclusion of the series is killing me, so many questions still aren't answered, but I love the dynamic between the couples. Each couple is becoming more powerful with shared abilities, which keeps making me ask the question: What is really going on?
The romance in this book is sizzling, the erotic scenes are [always] amazing, and the introduction of the other world Thule is just adding more curiosity. I can't wait for the conclusion, but yet don't want it to end.

This is one of my favorite book series and after each new book comes out it just confirms it. Setta Jay's Guardians of the Realm series always grabs my attention and doesn't let go. The story is riveting, it is full of action, suspense and very hot sexy scenes. I love all the characters and I am excited new characters from another world are being introduced, which I am hoping will continue the series past the last Guardian. It was such a great read that I couldn't put it down, but now I have to patiently wait for the next one.
