Samantha Towle has amazed me yet again!!! Since I first met Jake Wethers back when she first released The Mighty Storm...i knew that Jake, Tru and TMS would stay with me forever. This novella really has sealed the deal. I love Jake as much now as I did back then and fell in love with him all over again in this. I know it was sad and there may have been a few tears but OMG I loved the bonus chapter of Jonny. It was PERFECT!!!
I love how it focused on Jake and Jonny as he was such a pivotal part of the other books and TMS even though we actually meet him....Samantha just brought him to life in your heads...if an author can do that...Well then, she's one hell of an author!!!
I bow at your feet for this you lovely lady for bringing Jake back to us for this novella and bringing him back to life.....
Once again I'm blown away by this author's talent. The Storm is the perfect end to a perfect series. I really adore Jake and Tru, and I have to say I was nervous about reading this novella. I didn't want the series to end and I didn't believe that the author could top an already outstanding series.
I was wrong. The Storm is the story you didn't know you needed. It brings the whole gang full circle and was just superb. The rollercoaster of emotions is real, from the very first page and right up until the very last word. I love the way that Samantha manages to break my heart and than help stitch it back together again in everything she writes. I spent the whole time reading with tears in my eyes and the biggest smile on my face. How do you do that, Ms Towle?
For any die hard TMS fans this is an absolute must read. I'm just sorry its the end, but then again you never know. Perhaps the mighty Samantha Towle will take pity on us and give us a prequel or a tiny tidbit. Here's hoping anyway!
Poor Tru, bring put through that, but a ever she is understanding taking Jake's side, pulling him thought.
I just love her no-nonsense dust yourself off attitude. She is hurting but takes it all in her stride.
I liked Tiffany even if we meet her under such sad times, but she really has Storm's well being at heart. Who can blame her for wanting the best for him.
When I realised the implications, my heart leaped, for Jake, then Tru, then the realisation of getting a piece of Johnny coming to life.
This was a cleverly written, heart felt novella, full of the love Tru and Jake have built their life on and so full of compassion.
It was great to meet Bob, and I truly loved how he blamed himself for how the boys in the band behaved back in the day...
I loved the first heart stopping meeting of Sob, Jake and Storm so typical of teenagers.
There were certainly curveballs which made this novella an unput down able book, lovely to catch up with them all, but sad its now over. :(
Lolly story, fingers crossed we get another novella in the future.
I have given 4 stars because the ending left me shocked and wanting more of an epilogue for the present day. I've tried hard to not give away any spoilers although I'm dying to write down more.
Samantha's writing is amazing and the only books I've not read of hers are her paranormal ones! Might need to give them a try sometime!
Its been a while since I read The Mighty Storm so this was a nice addition, I love Samantha Towles writing, your pulled in with ease and don't want to let go until the last page.
This is years later its a mixture of humour and sadness, kids say the funniest things and although a quick read it was just right.
Relating to Johnny in the main of the plot who died in previous book but it really was great to read about the characters again and their new family.
It brought tears to my eyes, so glad I read it and it made me want to read The mighty storm all over again.
I would love a next generation series, each one of the kids seemed to be into music it would be great to see Jake's kids grown up and relive the mayhem in different characters all over again.
I am always a little sceptical when an author revisits a couple that we previously left living their happily ever after. I have no issue if a novella adds something to the overall series or story, but more and more recently a lot of these types of books seem to be financially motivated more than anything.
Sam has 'added value' to Jake and Tru's story, although to be honest this isn't a story that hugely focuses on them... To understand why, you need to read it, and for me it was a worthwhile use of an hour or so of my time.

What a fantastic series, loved every one of these books. Each was as gripping in its own way. Samantha Towle rocks. Looking forward to reading more of her books.Published 1 month ago by Sue Dixon
This is the third in the series I have read and although I've not quite finished it yet it is showing signs of being just as good as the othersPublished 1 month ago by ellen jenkins
It finishes off the series, but bit of an abrupt ending. The series was one I was not initially that sure I was going to like, but once I started I was hooked and have read it... Read morePublished 1 month ago by Had64
