Not only are the people featured varied, interesting and inspirational in order to maintain a child's engagement but each page is wonderfully colourful and visually appealing, too. Those it discusses are both men and women, from all corners of the globe, all different backgrounds and all different professions. The writing style is clear and easy to follow for youngsters and doesn't waffle on too long as that's when I find you tend to lose their attention.
I know for certain that had these books been around when I was growing up, they would've been instant classics in my household and would've taken pride of place on my bookshelf. They really do make learning fun! I look forward to picking up Ben Brooks' Stories For Boys Who Dare To Be Different - Two, out in March 2019.
This is a must read book for both adults and children alike and is an incredible source of inspiration for all. Everybody has heard of Lady Godiva but how many can truthfully say why she did it? It is an educational masterpiece for young and old and can really recommend it as the ultimate Christmas present.
Terrible description, not stories at all!
