This is a really good follow on in the series. Again, fast paced, plenty of action and some real tension. I've read zombie books with Snipers, Marines, Navy Seals and various other special forces but Rangers seem to have the most luck and take the most risks. I think every main character has been shot or blown up now. I also know, if it is a "through and through", you're gonna bleed profusely, but with a clean tee-shirt, some duck tape and some warm Gatorade, you should be OK.
The plot is definitely thickening and it is one of the main attractions of the series that these ghouls are "dead - not stupid". What is their ultimate goal? Farming humans? How long can one last without fresh blood?
Just bought the 4th book. Looking forward to meeting up with Keo again.

Continuing in the gripping story line so ably developed in the first two books, this one adds a few new twists and turns in the struggle for survival against seeming insurmountable hordes of the not quite so dead silver hating ghouls and their human lackeys. The heroes and heroines do seem to have developed a particular knack of leaping from the frying pan into the fire but it all adds to an enthralling story that has me absolutely hooked.

I can't put these books down, just finished the 3rd and about to buy the next book. Have done no house work in days, not watched any tv either. These books just keep getting better. Story lines are easy to follow, characters are great and I'm hooked 😁 Enjoy, I am.

This is another great book in the continuing story by Sisavath, and does not disappoint!
There is so much action from beginning to end, all excellently written and has you biting your nails hoping that all will survive the ghouls and the collaborators.
This is a new fresh twist on the apocalypse and zombie novels, just great!

I'm so glad I purchased all 3 books in the trilogy at once (my friends aren't though). I'm fairly new to the genre and generally have a wide reading repetoire & thought these would be a great little sojourn for spare moments. Wow, the biggest cliche in the book; 'couldn't put it down' totally and honestly applies. A real rollercoaster all the way and I found myself loving the heroes, loathing the baddies (ghouls, collaborators). It's not the deepest dive into characterisation but who cares, it's enough to have me hooked! Chapter by chapter I find myself worrying for the survivors and the oncoming nightfall and as other reviewers have mentioned these undead are relentless and quite different from any I've encountered before (hopefully allowing for a story that goes on and on). Bravo Mr Sisavath, I'm ready for my next battle (and it's my battle now too), surely that's a sign of a cracking story!

Read these in a week - so hard to put down and now I am dreaming about the ghouls so might have to give the story a break for ooh at least another hour. Just bought book 4 and cannot wait to find out how Gaby is getting on - what about the spring water - the pregnancies - brilliant book

Enjoyable third part of the series. I enjoy zombie fiction and have read way too many. This series has a likable range of characters and a good twist in regards how the zombies grow. Looking forward to #4.

I never thought I'd get to love these characters when I picked up the purge of babylon but wow what a series I haven't put it down, I've started on the Isles of elysium a day ago nd a quarter way through. Excellent books and written brilliantly would say everyone should read these
