Did not buy a guide when at Stonehenge in June this year so decided to buy this one on line at circa £3 inc postage - the one at Stonehenge was £5! so good value

I didn't realise it was more of a tourist guide than an actual book, however that's my lack of knowledge not the publishers and it is still an excellent overview and guide, with interesting illustrations and high-quality print and colour. I'm still happy to have it and to recommend it to people wanting a 'primer'.

This is probably the first 'post visitor centre/public access renovation' guide published. Whilst it obviously doesn't carry the criticisms leveled at it by actual visitors (especially the disabled) I found it an excellent up-date to my collection of texts on the pre-historic landscape of S. Wilts.
