This is well worth it. Its very rare in the UK so i wouldnt hold back trying to find it. Theres a range of soft to hardcore punk in the album, all being pretty kool. The lyrics are all very well thought up and the riffs get into your head for days on end. Well worth the money.

I have had this album for a long time now and it is, by far, my favourite album. Nearly every song is awesome and it includes several of my all time favourites:
1) I'm Down - Very good opener - 8/10
2) Pick a Fight - Very catchy - 7.5/10
3) Carry On - A change from the 1st two, more upbeat - 8.5/10
4) The End of The Day - Not bad, but one of the weaker on the album - 7/10
5) Don't Say Goodbye - This is one of my favourite songs of all time, awesome - 10/10
6) Counting The Days - Pretty popular song this and with good reason - 9/10
7) Bro - first 'heavy' song on the album, pretty good - 8/10
8) San Simeon - Another fav with the fans and very good live too - 9/10
9) You Think It's A Joke - Not one of my favs but still good - 7.5/10
10) Forgiveness - Another one of my all time favs, very very cathcy indeed - 10/10
11) Margaret Ann - Another slightly different song, but following the general pattern, its very good - 8.5/10
12) Get Away - Another good one - 8/10
13) 99 Red Balloons - The best cover ever. I love this song and is my favourite on the album and another of my overall favs. Half English, half German works a treat - 10/10
14) Donut Dan - I don't know why this song is on here, i tend to ignore it. Fortunately its only 40 secs, but they could have had a better end to such a great album (99 red balloons would have been a perfect ending) - 2/10
I highly recommend any new fans to start here. Alternatively, there is a 'best of' and i would agree with the majority of the song selections for that album. However, this album is a different style from the others and so while some people may prefer this one, others may prefer another...

Woohoo! Goldfinger have done it again, succeeding in churning out some of the catchiest, sing-a-long punk music around. These guys have been in the background for ages and only now are they even beginning to be recognised over here for their true talent. What makes them different from other punk/pop bands is their sometimes raw, aggresive side to their songs, which can be seen on this album in songs like 'bro' and 'you think it's a joke'. But they also have a softer, catchy side like in the amazing, 'forgiveness' and 'margaret ann'. This record's been in my CD player for ages and i'm still not tired of it! Of course it has the classic '99 red balloons' with it's amazing riff and melody. If you think the price is a bit steep because of the import, i promise you, it's well worth it!! Goldfinger are an awsome band who definitely won't disappoint and always deliver when it comes to jump up-and-down, air guitar music. Looking forward to the next one!

Goldfinger's 3rd release turned out to be their best. Stomping ground is a fast yet tuneful blast of punk rock. The higlights of the album are superb opener 'I'm down' with crunching guitar and angry vocals, the wonderfully tuneful 'pick a fight', best on the album 'san simeon' the harmonica backed 'margaret ann' and the hit single '99 red balloons'. a great album 5/5.

This CD is an excellent buy. It is pure ska of the highest quality with some great songs. "Pick a fight" is great also "counting the days" is great ska punk. It is a very light album with the odd semi-heavy song like "don't call me bro!." There are a couple of dud songs but this happens on every ska album and this is definatly the best Goldfinger album to buy.

Once upon a time i was only really into Metal, and hard rock until i stumbled upon this little gem. It took me all of the first 2 songs to get me jumping around to the immediately catchy riffs and general genius of this album. Quite simply Goldfinger have made one of the best albums you will ever hear. This quite possibly is the only album that i own and genuinly like every song on it. The cover of "99 Red Balloons" is unbelievable and songs like "San Simeon" and "I'm Down" are the icing on the cake. If you're remotely interested in punk rock or have a love for music then get this album. It's a firm favourite among my friends. This will be the best £10 or so you have ever spent in your life.

Until my work experience i had never heard of these people!

I could not believe what i'd been missing!

This album is awesome, lots of catchy song which completley work.

To start with i was not so keen on some of the songs but after listening to them a few times they are all great.

Donut Dan (the 40 close to the album) is slightly pointless, and Bro the heaviest song on the album was not my favourtie.

The cover of 99 Red Balloons is genius and would be a great way to end the album. A top punk album.

But now i love this group andcant wait to see them in concert...when they come to england!
