Ken the hot fireman {can put my fire out anytime} by chance sees Stephanie at the market close to the stationa dn now he can't shake her from his mind, you normally cry over spilled milk but they don't, but with Jerome her ex knowing where she is all the time is creeping her out. Will Ken and Stephanie get to be with each other or will Jerome's stalking pull them apart?

It was an easy enough book to read, I think it could have been a lot better. It was too shallow for me the characters didn't have enough depth.

Loved it. This is the second book of Leslie Johnson that I have read, and I think that they are brilliant, the storylines are strong and keeps you going all they way through with no dull bits, absolutely loved the chemistry between Steph and Ken, I can't wait to read book 2, and see what happens to their relationship and what happens to the evil Jerome.

The story was ok. It switched from the male leads pov to the females which was good. What wasn't good and I hadn't realized was the story continues in the second book.

5.0 out of 5 stars My Two Pennies 19 April 2016
By Theresa Talbot - Published on Amazon.com

We start right in with Stephanie coming across a bad accident and being a nursing student her instincts kick in and she runs over to help the people trapped inside. Welcome Ken, a firefighter training to become a paramedic just coming onto the scene and tries to assist Stephanie with her own bruises and such after all is said and done with assisting the the injured people that were trapped. Fate brings them together again when Ken is food shopping with the FD crew and ends up on Stephanie's register. The story takes off from there and we are brought through everything with them drama, suspense and the hot as all hell sex scenes. It all feels as though it can happen to anyone at any point in time and that just made me fall for them even more.

5.0 out of 5 stars Stoking the Embers is a fantastic read! 14 Feb. 2015
By Shelley Haase - Published on Amazon.com

I just finished Stoking the Embers! What a fantastic read! The characters were so real and believable! Stephanie is finishing her nursing degree and is trying to take charge if her life, when she suddenly finds herself first on the scene of an accident. Little does she know how this incident will have a significant impact upon her future plans. Ken is a firefighter who is training to be a paramedic. He meets Stephanie on the scene of that accident and later again when their paths cross. He is unprepared to discover the impact Stephanie has on him.

March seems so far away! I can't wait to read more about Stephanie and Ken

5.0 out of 5 stars Running into the fire with them! 15 April 2015
By Holleyann - Published on Amazon.com

Stoking the Embers begins with a full blown fire and the ride just keeps going right through the cliffhanger. I enjoyed the characters interactions with each other and even how the villain worms his way into ruining the couple almost before they even get going. I enjoyed the way this story is put together. Beginning this book is almost like running into the fire right along with the main characters in the story. If any of you are like me you will hate the first boyfriend turned ex boyfriend just as much as I did when I began reading. Can't wait until the next one. I know not every one will see this as a 5 star read but if I enjoy it and read through till the end and can't wait for the next one then it is good because if It dosen't catch my interest at the beginning I don't finish it. And I am on the edge of my seat to see how the next one works out.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great plot 5 May 2015
By Andrea - Published on Amazon.com

I read a lot of novels and I must say that this one rocks with regard to characters, plot, and real world fears. It grabs you from the beginning and doesn't let go. The crazy person is truly psychotic and the heroine and hero are truly weary of relationships as well as the fact that crazy people are out there and need to be thwarted. I love the real life feel of how crazy stalkers to laid to bear here. Looking forward to book 2!
