I really enjoyed this book. This story was spread over quite a long time but I could not put it down. It slots in really well with the other books. We learn a lot more about Lucy and Rosie. Keltan is also another great alpha. This is a really good read. Can't wait for more as there are some great new characters from Greenstone.

Seriously this lady can do no wrong...this is the first in a new series however has a crossover to the amazing Sons of Templar series that I also highly recommend. If you like your men hot and alpha and your heroines feisty if not slightly crazy then this is a read for you. I wont spoil the book for you with excerpts and spoilers just a strong recommendation from me to you to read this book. Enjoy

Anne has done it again another great book .even though I feel this book is more milder than previous books .the first half of the book is how they met and what happened over the couple of years they were on and off again while letting each other find how to cope with what they have both been through.while the characters from previous books found their HEA . The second half is more about them after coming together after Lucy witnessing a murder of a women Kelton was under contract with the day before ended . Even though this book was milder it was still a great read and I'm looking forward to . Rosie and Luke's book now he has joined the the team and left the police force .also maybe heaths book too

I was quite nervous about reading this book, I liked Keltan when we met earlier in the series and always hoped he'd get his own book.

When I looked at the chapters and saw Part 1 and Part 2 I thought it would mean trouble.
The book runs along side 'The Sons of Templar' series so I would recommend you read that first as some events from that series are disclosed in this story and it may spoil it for you and also if you have read that series it is a joy to see people we have grown to love pop up again and we see them from a different perspective as this is from Lucy's POV.

Lucy is an honorary member of the club being a great friend of Rosie, Cade's sister and we met her when she was part of the girl gang friends with Gwen. But because she was a childhood friend of Rosie she also knew Laurie... yes, get the tissues, so she also has a special bond with Bull.

But although there are some real emotional moments this book is not melancholy, in fact it is really, really funny in parts. Not only is Lucy herself sassy, super sarcastic and delivers some great dead pan lines she also has some funny moments with Lucky and other boys from the club. But most of all her and Rosie are hilarious esp drunk.

Keltan... hmmm. I was a little disappointed in him, I know he comes back from War and we know about events concerning Ian from Sons of Templar so he has his own demons but I got a bit frustrated with him, on and off oh and on and off again. He says its for Lucy's sake but I blamed him not fighting enough for her.
What is clever about the on/off thing, which I have a pet hate for, is it allows the book to skim over events from most of the SOT series so far and this is masterfully done. It does not feel like a re-read.

Still Waters is the first book in the new series, Greenstone Security.

Lucy has lived amongst the chaos of The Sons of Templar MC for most of her life but she classes them as family. Having dealt with violence twice in the past it was the Sons who gave her the security she craved. But then enters Keltan who becomes the catalyst of the change in her life. Although it takes the pair a long time to get to there.

Keltan is a hot Kiwi soldier who is now making his home in the US. When he sets eyes on the classy and beautiful woman at the clubhouse party he just knows she is the one for him. So begins his pursuit of Lucy.
I really liked Keltan and he sounded absolutely delish but I just could not gel with Lucy. In fact she frustrated the hell out of me. The way she kept pushing Keltan away was so annoying and at times immature. I did like their banter in the emails and text but then when the childishness kicked in I was rolling my eyes like a googly eyed monster.

The storyline was very slow going, especially at the start and for the life of me I could just not understand Lucy’s reluctance and her inner turmoil. Yes I appreciated what she went through as a young child and then as a teenager with abusive relationships but she is a grown woman who gives as good as she takes so I could not grasp her two steps forward, three steps back dance she had going on with Keltan. Maybe with not reading the series she was in before I have missed something.

I love the idea of the series and the hot men of the Greenstone Security. I just wished Lucy could have been different and that I liked her so I could have engaged with the story more. Overall it was frustratingly slow going, with little connection (even though there was a whole lot of passion and erotic behaviour going on) but I did keep on until the end. Three stars.
