Prince Philip is a man after my own heart, doesn't suffer fools gladly, never afraid to say what he thinks and often getting into trouble for it. I have never been politically correct and never will be and this book appealed to my wicked sense of humour. I had heard a number of his gaffes but there were numerous gaffes I was not familiar with. The book is hilarious and hard to put down once you start reading it. A thoroughly enjoyable book. 10/10.

The great price attracted me but I guess I was disappointed by the content. HHs comments are wonderfully witty I just thought there would be more of them. The book resides in the lounge for casual reference.

Quite a short book with only 83 pages, not as full of gaffs as i thought it would be, but i did find myself laughing out loud to some of the entries. Enjoyable, but i'm glad it was less than £4.

Hilarious.....This book is permanently sat on my coffee table and provides enormous entertainment both for ourselves visiting guests.
You have to admire Prince Philip's absolute cheek and lack of scruple while making some of these comments - his sense of humour is offbeat to say the least.

Maybe because he is a member of the Royal Family he can and does get away with it. That coupled with a certain amount of charm and twinkle in his eye. A great book and an essential stocking filler for Christmas!

A gloriously funny read. There is about one gaffe on every page of the book. There are more gaffes stated than I can remember ever having heard about or seen reported in the press. There is not too much narrative in the book- just sufficient to place each gaffe into context. A very amusing read.

Nothing to which the most sensitive of recipients could take any real offence, and for the casual reader such as you and I a series of most amusing remarks that are a joy to read! And in this PC-afflicted tree-hugging country of ours a great relief . . .

In any collation such as this there are bound to be repetitions, and you'll just have to accept the fact that you'll have seen press reports of the odd incident, but overall an excellent book.

Love him or hate him, it doesn't really matter, as long as he makes us laugh, its alright in my book. I get the impression that he doesn't mean to offend, its just how things come out. As my old grannie used to say, "Its just his way". But in these grim times anything that will brighten things up and give us a chuckle has got to be good. And its usually the unrehearsed and unexpected that gives us the biggest laughs. Reality produces some of the funniest situations. Have a laugh, and have a look at Sick Notes: True Stories from the GP's Surgery and WRITE AGAIN VOL 2
