I personally have to say why only 6 shows in a series? This has to be one of the finest comedies to come out of Scotland in many a year.
Like any show it has developed over the 4 series. Giving more scope for the supporting characters to develop. Which all adds to a slicker more rounded experience. You get to know them all well; it also means the story lines can expand on many levels. There are two or three small stories going on in the background in each episode. So you get a sense of a real day happenings in Craiglang.
Episodes
1.Kill Wullie - A new waitress at the local cafe has the lads droolin'. She's a big Honey as the lads would say. But alas she's fallen for auld Wullie. Isa thinks she's only after one thing. Is she right?
2. Wireless - Jack & Victor become local hospital radio DJ's. As Tam the resident DJ has scrounged a free holiday. With Winston, as a helper, roaming the wards for requests. Navid ends up in hospital with, well water works troubles (hilarious!!)But can Winston get a request heard in time? Will Winston make it? Watch & see.
3. Dial a Bus - The lads have found a cheap means of transport to the Clansman. But the helpful happy driver is not all he seems. They end up kidnapped in the middle of nowhere. Meantime Bobby the bar man has a sabbatical, & Winston pulls a fast one. It's free drinks all round for the Clansman regulars.
4. The Ring - Tam the tight fist decides to marry Frances the librarian. But who's going to be the best man? And will he buy a new ring? Jack does a little trick with the ring with hilarious consequences.
5. Hatch - Jack's daughter has given him Sky TV as a present. So a brilliant idea of a hatch between Jack & Victor's house is conceived. Victor turns into a right couch potato, resulting in a boil on his bum.

Jack and Victor are back and better than ever in Still Game. This forth series is simply stunning and side-splittingly funny. I wasn't sure that they could improve on the previous season but they did...they really did. Apart from the new theme tune, which I don't like, this is truly amazing. I liked the sixth episode the best and I don't think I have ever laughed so much in my life. I wish they would add more episodes into each series because I can't get enough of the old lads and Isa and Navide, and Wiston and.... well I guess you get the idea.

Jack and Victor are back once again with all their mates from Craiglang. As usual there are great laughs here, as well as moments to make you ponder about getting older. Tam manages to scrounge a free holiday due to someone being taken ill, and so Jack and Victor take over his hospital radio shift, and has a black widow moved into the area? Some think the tempting new waitress at the local cafe could be one.

With Isa always poking about there are no secrets, but could she have made a bit of a mistake about Jack and Victor? And will Tam's marriage go off without hitch?, as Jack has had an 'accident' with the ring. With Navid joining a store chain, and the pub's future in doubt there are problems that need to be sorted out, as well as what can happen on a dial-a-bus.

As with all the other series this is a cracker and is worth watching time and time again. This has to be the funniest thing that Scotland has ever produced, which will have everyone laughing over and over again. Well worth viewing.

Still Game Series 4 has not been as good as the previous three series. Still Game Series 4 has two standout episodes -'Wireless' and 'Hatch'. The rest are 'no bad'!
The DVD has one extra - a quite funny look behind the scenes. However it's only about 14 mins long.
Be warned, unlike the previous DVDs this DVD does not have the broadcast theme tune. If you like tapping your toes to 'Cuban Boy' by Frank Chacksfield/The Cuban Boys, you won't get on this DVD. Why has they theme tune been changed??
If you are Still Game fan, buy it but just put your fingers in your ears as the titles and credits roll.

Still Game, if your browsing wondering to buy this do so. This isn't just a Scottish-centric sitcom. Nor is it Last of the Summer Wine with swearing (and humour and gags if it come to that!). It is so much better than that. This is a funny laugh out loud series with moments too of real emotion that is still wearing well.

Hilarious! Typical Glasgow humour. Funny and sad too, and all characters are credible. Great acting. Probably you could identify some people in your area who would fit into any of the series very well. We love all the programmes.Everyone has great lines and gives excellent performances. Well done script writers and actors!!

An excellent series from the comedians who bought us Chewing the Fat, in fact the characters Jack and Victor are from the sketch show and have been brought to life in their own show. An excellent comedy !!
