Pam Lewis has written a book full of inspiration and information, the essentials for most gardening books. After 40 years of professional gardening I have amassed a large library. Some of my books are impossible to get into and soon discarded, some are worth reading once but then discarded, some are pure reference and continually useful, and some are always a pleasure to pick up whether for gentle enjoyment, inspirational reminders or specific information. This is one of the latter and will always be near the top of the pile!
Unless we help honeybees, we won't have wine, chocolate, coffee and fruit!!! Of course this is years away, but honeybees are in decline - they pollinate a third of our food, including grapes (which give us wine!) and cocoa beans (which give us chocolate!)
Sticky Wicket is one of world's most beautiful and most important wildlife gardens.
This lovely book is a bible to any gardener who loves wildlife.
Arrived on time thankyou.
