The Sticky & Sweet show was filmed in Buenos Aires over four days to a crowd exceeding 256,000 screaming fans. The concert includes a memorable show stopping moment when Madonna performs a historic "Don’t Cry For Me Argentina" to a thunderous response from her Argentine fans.
The DVD and CD set features many of Madonna's classic tracks, including "4 Minutes", "Like a Prayer", "Hung Up", "Ray of Light" and several hits from her most recent studio album Hard Candy, which debuted at No.1 in 37 countries.

each album by The Queen Of Pop has delivered and each tour brings the album to life! here, The Sticky & Sweet Tour CD/DVD does exactly that. Hard Candy appeared to have divided fans across the globe despite the excess of over 5 million copies shipped across the globe i for one loved the new style R&B/Dance direction she went with...and this tour more than does the albums' material justice, it is exactly like the sensational Confessions album and tour in that it is a full on assault on the senses that creates these impulses in the audiences that makes them get up and dance! and enjoy, few manage to be able to balance elaborate choreography, immaculate performance, project their voice and look stunning! but Madonna isn't like anyone else.
Classic pop tunes have been remixed and given a new fresh lease of life for the tour and it all looks stunning and sounds immensely perfect (Like A Prayer is possibly the greatest live performance i have ever seen in recent years by anyone!along with the sensational Vogue,Into The Groove and La Isla Bonita!as well as Hung Up and Music given new genres!).
the recordings from Hard Candy are also brought to life with the immensely fun Spanish Lesson, the georgeous intro of Candy Shop and the brilliant Beat Goes On!
She's Not Me reflected that feel good vibe of the song and also that edge similar to the Erotica period and also we see her slapping about dancer's replicating her image! (it's fun to watch!) and Devil Wouldn't Recognise You is given that haunting imagery i imagined when i first heard the song, visual masterpiece and a half :D
then of course there is the MASSIVE Give It 2 Me conclusion that brings the show to a full circle and a fantastic electronic masterpiece it is too and gives the song that performance anyone would have wanted!
plus there is plenty of eye catching sequences and hidden surprises throughout the show! yes for me Sticky & Sweet is RIGHT UP THERE with Blonde Ambition,Re-Invention and Confessions as the greatest tour music has ever known!
i thouroughly recommend this immaculate collection to everybody who loves a great operatic performance and genuinely brilliant music, this tour is the TITANIC of all tours! and that's also what the 3.5million others thought too!
10/10 visual masterpice and audio delight! thank you again Madonna!
First and foremost is the concert live or playback? The sound is so polished that you have a feeling that you listen to pre-recorded songs, not live tracks. My opinion is shared by my friend, with whom I watched the concert.
Of course, during such tunes as "Like a virgin" (quite moving moment) or "You must love me/Don't cry for me..." she sings live, but during other songs everybody will doubt.
She jumps, she runs, she makes a lot of commotion, but her voice doesn't tremble. It is visible the most in the closing song. If you look closely, you can see her taking a breath one moment, when in fact you can hear her singing.
So...Judge for yourself, but I miss old Madonna, singing not clean here and there...
The choice of songs. Not bad. What I like in Madonna concerts is the constant reinvention. The versions she plays are different to those known from cd-s.
Quality of picture...Whoever edited this concert, should be punished severly. After first 40 minutes my eyes were so tired, that we had to take a break. Where are the times of Confessions tour where I couldn't stop watching the dvd, because it was soooo luring ;(
As I mentioned in the title, I give the third star for the short documentary. It is quite interesting to see all the things that happen behind the "close door":)
In general, I regret a bit purchasing this dvd. I expected some more...live...
