See the world through my eyes.
I've been working in the world of business since 1987...and still do. I tend to see things differently to other people and that is one of the reasons I have had a very successful career, reaching Vice President level positions in major organisations.
My first book, Romancing the Sale, compares selling with something totally outside the sphere of business - dating and finding love. I found the parallels extremely useful for myself to help guide me in sales. I wanted to share this and improve the standard of selling hence I wrote the book.
Since writing Romancing The Sale I've discovered I enjoy writing so writing books has become a bit of a hobby.
One of the things I enjoy is foreign languages and etymology - the study of words. Having lived in Japan and worked in France and Germany I've become tuned in to the shape and feel of words so I often stop and wonder how certain words ended up in the language because they clearly feel out of place. This has led me to write two language books. The first is Franglais. It's a French book with a difference. It tells you the thousands of French words you already know. The second is a more traditional "learn to speak" book and teaches Japanese.
The world of business fascinates me so my final book (at the moment) is about start-ups. This is a book with a difference. It covers the almost taboo topic of how starting a business takes you on an emotional roller coaster and prepares wannabe entrepreneurs for the stomach churning ride ahead of them.
