Steve Cole is a best-selling children’s author whose sales exceed three million copies. His hugely successful Astrosaurs young fiction series has been a UK top-ten children’s bestseller and been published widely internationally. A fantasy, comedy and adventure writer, Steve’s work includes a broad range of novels, most recently Stop Those Monsters! and Secret Agent Mummy for younger readers. His original fiction titles for Doctor Who were also top-ten bestsellers. In 2014 Steve was chosen by Ian Fleming Publications to succeed Charlie Higson as the writer for Young Bond, a series which follows the explosive adventures of the teenage James Bond.
In other careers Steve has worked with the Estates of Enid Blyton and Agatha Christie and as an editor at Penguin and Simon and Schuster. Much in demand for his performances at events (both in the UK and internationally), Steve has appeared at Edinburgh, Hay, Bath and Sharjah Festivals, YALC and World Book Day’s Biggest Book Show on Earth. He has toured schools in Europe, America, the UAE, Australia and New Zealand and featured at Doctor Who and other sci-fi conventions from London to Los Angeles.
