The many unique styles of self-expression and talent show the reader an authentic, often explicit and beautifully vulnerable insight into people living with e.g. Depression, Suicidal Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar, Schizophrenia and many other Mental Health challenges.
I was deeply moved and immersed in the sheer heartfelt honesty incorporated within these endearing expressions of verse. It was an honour to glimpse the journeys taken by the Poets and the Author, Garry Williams as they collectively strove through the darkness to step heroically into the light.
Review by A Grateful Heart
e you an insite into the struggles of mental illnesses
The simple fact is that, whatever is perceived to be 'wrong' within a person, they're still human and, much to the surprise of many, these individuals often tend to be capable of the most inspiring actions and excel in the world of art and creativity.
This anthology of poems is, to me, a testament to that. We are all different but, we each have something unique to offer inside, sometimes hidden away out of fear. Garry has done well to bring these many voices and thoughts together. What they created together is unique. It's both brilliant and insightful in to the pain that often doesn't show.
Poems can be beautiful. Words can become a strong form of self-expression. Honesty speaks volumes and these lines come direct from the heart of many beautiful people, living not without the fear of being judged.
I look forward to and hope for a second anthology!!
Having read my review, how would you react if I told you that I suffer from depression?
By reaching a pinnacle where words, feelings and emotions allow him as a person to feel free to escape the clutches of depression, at the same time helping others who tread the path of loneliness and despair.
This little book of poems basically says it all.
