I absolutely loved this series of Stella, it's my favourite one yet. I love the new characters (particularly Michael and his relationship with Stella) and found the whole thing so well written and performed I'm in complete awe of the talents of those involved. There is some real comedy gold here, but it's also incredibly emotional and moving at times. I could watch this all day long and am counting down to the Christmas special and season 4. Huge thanks to Ruth Jones and the team for coming up with such quality - this is easily the best thing I've seen on tv for years. Enjoy!

Stella Season 3 is fantastic Ruth Jones is just a genius to write another season just as good as the other 2.
There are some people missing but there a few new characters which make up for the loss of the others.
Stella finally meets her prince called Michael Jackson but they don't get off on a good start but as they get to know each other they end up falling in love . Stella, the family and of course the whole pontyberry go through their share of ups and downs but they all come together in their tight little community and help each other out no matter how big or small the problem is and this season will have you laughing, crying and make you want to snuggle and cwtsh(I think that's right).
I know this review sucks but I don't want to give too much away for those who haven't seen it yet.
I really recommend this show alright "Butt" as they say in Wales :-D.

Not as good as the other seasons but I like shiny stars so I had to highlight them all. Buy season 1 and 2, then you will be forced to buy this. Be warned that it is not as good (half the best characters are not in it - dye, his wife, sunni etc.)

I absolutely loved series 1 & 2 and to be fair I do like series 3 but was quite saddened that they took out so many of the main characters all at once ? Paula and dai were my favourite charactors
and they've disappeared ?? It's a shame and I don't find this series as funny either. I'm yet to see series 4.

I adored the first two series and found them both moving and funny. I was brought up in Wales and could relate to some of the characters really well. However, Series 3 almost tried too hard to be funny, to the point where some of the scenes were really silly. Ruth Jones was fantastic as always, (although shame about the bleached hair as she looked so fantastic in Series 2), and I think we all warmed to neighbour Michael Jackson after a couple of episodes. The biggest let down was Auntie Brenda's overacting - a little of her goes a long way! Also the lack of some of the previous characters, principally Paula and Dai. The undertakers' role was definitely not the same without Paula, and Daddy sort of lost his sidekick role as a result. The nursing tutor was also miscast and rather nonsensical, and that's why I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5. Having said that I still enjoyed it immensly and look forward to another series, but let's have less of the sillyness and more of the emotive stuff please!

Loved it, but that woman with the pram is still in it ,WHY???? her lines are such a bad Ad for all the lovely people of the valleys ,I find that part very irritating.. Is it because I am originally a scouser ( but lived in south wales since 1980), and not born and bred in the valleys?
I did laugh out loud at this series , I know this is a bit sick but the coffin scenes in the church were very funny (because they were only fiction) it would be my worst nightmare if it really did happen like that. to anyone I loved. It is in fact a funeral directors worst nightmare l!!
It was good watching it all at once as you don't lose the continuity like you do, watching it weekly on the box.
Having been a nurse myself for over 30 years in Cardiff and the valleys, I think there is loads of material out there for another series ,please do another one. ,Stella could be a district nurse,( in training) imagine the fun they could have with that one.!!

Ruth Jones does it again! I really thought the series couldn't get any better---but it did.
Yes, some key characters missing but new ones as brilliantly cast as always.
The writing is excellent. Steve Speirs writes brilliantly as well as portraying his character with true genius.

The young actors are so well cast, and are either perfectly natural actors or work very, very hard, or both!

You can't feel miserable watching Stella. I lived in the Welsh Valleys for a few years and my life there was never as funny as this, sadly.

Miss Jones---you're pure genius.
