this volume continues with the boys still in victorian england at the time of jack the ripper and still trying to kill samuel but they get help from some witches, l like these books because if you follow the t.v. series it nice to get back ground on the boys what they have done since they got turned into vampires that they don't have the time to do in the t.v. series.

I'm a huge fan of Stefan's Diaries, and this one didn't disappoint. Two reasons I have given it a 4 star rather than 5... 1) Grammar mistakes, there are a lot of words with a random space in the middle - not a huge problem but it gets a little irritating. 2) I thought these books were in conjunction with the TV series; but in this book, witches can immediately sense a vampire but this isn't so in the TV version.

Very enjoyable read and I can't wait for the next one!!

The cover alone is worth the purchase...... yummeeeeeee .... i enjoyed the start and the end of this book, but the middle dragged on for me and it took me a week to read a 230 page book because of this! most of the others i read in a day but i felt this lagged something in the middle and i just wanted them to hurry up and kill Samuel so it would end! towards the end though it picked up pace and became exciting again and i enjoyed the open end ... of courser we all know what happen after that as it moves to 20th century as we've seen it all in the flash backs when Stefan gets addicted to human blood again and becomes the Ripper!!! And Damon's just flippin gorgeous- nuff said!!!!!!!!!!

I love Stefan's Diaries, as well as both The Vampire Diaries TV show and book series! Stefan's Diaries are more based on the TV series so some information in these books are different to the original books. I love learning about Stefan and Damon's past!

Was not sure I was even reading the Vampire Diaries Saga, it is however a vampire tale but its really hard to relate it to the television series (I never miss). Other than that an average vampire book.

So bad it defies words. The only good thing about this woeful pathetic excuse of a book is the picture on the front. Save your money for something more rewarding
