I thought that V2 would finally have a decent sensor, but I was sadly wrong.
The sensor malfunctions at around 2.7m/s. Every time I try to flick turn, the sensor would skip about on the spot and cause the screen to violently spin continuously! To give context, my grip style is fingertip and my sensitivity is 16.8cm/360°
The fault is more pronounced the at the lower DPI settings and diminishes as the DPI is increased its the maximum (3200/1000hz)
Updating to the latest firmware (Kinzu:150) provided no improvements either. Bottom line is that these PixArt sensors are rubbish.
Tracking was great on both soft and hard mouse mats. It's just a shame you can't move the mouse at speed in fear of it malfunctioning.
Unfortunately I couldn't use this mouse at all because of this issue and decided to return it in exchange for a Razer Abyssus.
Perhaps SteelSeries will fix the issues in the next V3 mouse revision, which I eagerly await.
Started off great, ended pretty badly. Slightly disappointed with steelseries.
Can however leave a scum rededue on mouse if you use it after eating. But cleans easy and strong laser.
Scroll wheel is a lil annoying as if you scroll down too quickly. It can't register the scroll and moves up instead. But it's only if you are trying to scroll very quickly.
Good looking solid mouse otherwise.
Very fast and slick on a steel series large mat.
I do love the orange.. very well finished and all the better for being on the end of a cable no more fiddling with batteries.
Sometimes old tech takes a lot of beating. Just right for me and good value.
The glossy surface is prone to build up of debris, but that is to be expected.
