This has to be one of my favourite plays of the late 20th Century. It is witty, hard-hitting and at the same time heart-warming. If you are a small theatre group in search of a good play, you have found it. My favouite Characters have to be Ouiser and Clairee with their constant bickering. The film version starring Julia Roberts as Shelby is also good.

Brilliant play. Hope our little group does it justice. Exquisitely written culminating in the most evocative final scene which makes the hairs on your arms stand up?

I am currently rehearsing this play with a theatre group and I had to buy the script for a memory and to use too it's so easy to use. Well worth buying!
