..40 quid, this is one expensive purchase for what you actually get,i should have hung back and waited for a drop in price,DOH.

So we get the original 'LIVE' release restored to the original track listing as found on original vinyl and CD's,I've just got used to the 2005 Remaster placing them in the right order,i have to say, this 'Remaster'? isnt an improvement on the 2005 release,i wouldnt say its as bad as the other reviewers certainly feel, should have done better.

Disc 3 is the fabled Tokyo Quo,i'm delighted to have that, its was a raw recording back in the day but its the star of this box set.

Disc 4 , well its a welcome recording from '74 with an earlier set list including 'Railroad' and 'Claudie' but its really average in the sound quality stakes,it should have been promoted as an 'official Bootleg',it might have lessened the disappointment.

Packaging, excellent, the booklet superb, if you love all the nostalgia,i do,nice touch having a Tour Program but the book is light on reading and has a glaring error suggesting 'Caroline' along with 'Down Down' was left off the original album, thats poor considering the liner notes are by Quo fanatic Dave Ling

All in all a pricey momento particularly if you already have the 'Live' disc several times(guilty as charged). 3.5 stars

It looks good. The package is great. Nice book. Good information, fine pics but no information on the Mastering. I have Status Quo Live already on a LP and CD release. All sounding terrific! But when I listened to the first disc of Live I heard something's wrong: the sound is thin, minor bass, rough sharp treble. What's this. Are my ears gone bad? Are my headphones broken? I put on disc 1 of the 1992 cd version: way better! Good bass, nice treble. How is this possible? Who remastered this 2014 version. It's awful. The Tokyo Live disc is OK. Sounds good and is nice to hear. The Australian cd is also very bad sounding. it's mono and very bootleg like. There must be better Quo 70's recordings in the Universal vault. Come on guys: for this price I expected a lot more!! Only 2 stars: for the nice package and Tokyo Live.

These box set's are nearly always a disappointment. So it goes here (for me any way). This is the 4th time I've bought Quo Live (vinyl , CD , Remastered CD and this box set) i must get MUG stamped on my fore head. The sound on this version is not as good as the brilliant 2005 remaster HOW CAN THAT BE ????. Tokyo Quo sounds no better than the bootleg I've had for years. I honestly can not believe this is remastered , if it has been why not a remix too , Lancaster's bass is still too loud and poor ol Spud is woolly at best , i thought these faults we're due to it being a bootleg but NO it really is that poor. It's a decent raw rocking set but i really feel they could have improved it by sorting the sound issues out. Aus 74 is a bootleg pure and simple. Again it needs a remix lower the vocals and boost the guitars , it would be decent but no , shove it out sounding thin and poor. It's a good set again playing wise from the Quo but it really is tatty sound wise. It's all about MONEY , i and many others payed a lot of dough for this and it's not really that great. I feel swizzled on the whole. I guess i'll play the bonus stuff once in a while but it will be the 2005 version of Quo Live that gets aired every time for me. Nice packaging but big deal. Like i say i must be a mug .

i already have the 2005 double cd remaster of this album and have owned the double lp version as well . as soon as i heard this was coming out as a deluxe box set i thought i had to have it .i also saw in classic rock magazine what was included in this box set and i was going mad with anticipation . this cooled a lot as the months went by and it became apparent they didnt want to release near to or just after the frantic four cd / dvd release which would interfere with sales as obviously live was when they were in there prime and firing on all cylinders . after what seemed an age i saw on amazon it was coming out , and below £50 not bad for a deluxe box set these days deep purple want 80 to 100 for there made in japan deluxe and queen are after 90 to 100 for live at the rainbow although ive noticed its dropping to 80 probably because people.are buying the basic or the double cd which are £60 cheaper. both these box sets offer more than what the quo one offers , so what does the quo one offer not a massive amount.

lets start with the box this is of a very good sturdy construction a picture of the original album on the front and a complete tracklisting of the 3 albums inside on the rear , it has the look of a big book id give the box constuction and design 4 stars

lets go inside , first off the bits of memorabilia, you get a replica of the glasgow apollo 1976 tour programme along with two ticket stubs for the show . also a book about all 3 albums which is well written and got great pictures but the consruction of it dosent half remind me of the ladybird childrens books you used to get years ago would have been better with a softer cover .
