Is Nye's legacy relivent in the 21st century? That's the question asked this revealing tomb. Various people offer short essays on various aspects of the beliefs of Aneurin Bevan, and largely they are positive.
For me, the introduction of the NHS is the lasting legacy of the man. It makes him a political giant of the 20th century, and affects our lives to this day, few others can claim that. Whilst outright Solialism has been rejected throughout the Western world, much of the beliefs that Nye held are still relivent. The general concensus was that he would have developed those beliefs to tailor them to the modern world, and it is a position I tend to agree with.
