Its good but it isn't... One of those books. At times the writing is clear and everything makes sense and then BANG! things come out of nowhere and you get a little lost - well that's my experience anyway.

Although this text book was originally written for 16 - 18 (A-level) students, it has a greater application for those studying astronomy or astrophysics at degree level. The highly technical nature of this book means that it is not really readable to anyone outside of these fields, hence not a 5-star rating. However, this is an incredably useful textbook if you are studying for a university degree which involves some astrophysical elements.
