Fantastic. Some of these stories are profoundly disturbing, taking the undertones of LOvecraft's work (sexual and otherwise) to incredible heights. Some stories are more like to his tales, while with most others the connection is more in shared ideas and currents of thought rather than any specific Mythos characters. In all a grand tribute to Lovecraft.

This book contains one of Grant Morrison's finest prose works - the short story 'Lovecraft In Heaven'. Entirely worth buying for that alone. Thankfully much of the rest of it is decent too - Alan Moore's 'The Courtyard' isn't bad, although it's far from his best work, and there's some wonderful art in it too. Avoid the sequel though, it's awful.

They have re printed this book now with what I think is an inferior cover and the copy I saw had print problems......get this book now! Ten quid!!!!! It's worth the price alone of the Call of Cthulhu illustrated story! It sets a bench mark for genuinely alien Mythos landscapes and scans almost like a film story board. And it was the book that led me onto reading W S Burroughs full catalogue. BUY IT NOW!

Format: Paperback
Freaky visions of modern Lovecraft-esque stories, and deranged images which weld themselves to your brain. In no way a waste of paper, especially the diseased tale of Lovecraft's death and the graphic novel-format retelling of THE CALL OF CTHULHU! A must-eat for any cthonian creeper.
