Weapons and Combat
Keeping with the games' user friendly approach, the control scheme has been designed with Jedi character's lightsaber and force powers, as well as clone characters firing trigger accessible from a single input source. Because of the difference in the character classes weapons, combat differs depending on the class chosen. Due to their reliance on the their lightsabers, Jedi will mostly engage enemies at close range, although force power attacks can allow for more distance from targets. In addition, utilizing Jedi powers at point blank range players are able to engage in "droidjacking," which allows a Jedi to take control of a droid's weapons system and other abilities. On the other hand, clone character combat relies more on firepower, utilizing a variety of blaster type weapons and thermal grenades, although clones are able to acquire heavier weapons, such as miniguns and rocket launchers as the game progresses. Because of the projectile nature of these weapons clone character combat can be fought as a variety of distances.

This game is your standard platformer and comes with those niggiling camera angles where you just cant quite see right and end up having to do the same jump 3 times just because you cant get the camera to move slightly. The difficulty comes in the form of padwan or master, both are easy levels to play at so the target audience shouldn't find this a challenge.
The controls are very simply you just use the Y button to either force push or throw a grenade, A to jump X to use light sabre and right trigger to fire gun.

The game consits of 3 chapters with 17-18 parts per chapter, with the last part being a boss battle, it takes roughly 1.5 to 2 hours to complete a chapter depending on whether you are trying to collect everything first time round. The game soon becomes rather repettative towards the end of the chapter by having you fight a few enemys flick a switch ,fight some more flick another switch and so on, even to the younger audiance this is targeting will start to find this a chore, not to mention the constant voice in your ear and on your screen telling you how to use an x box control pad, yes even Yoda one of the most lovable characters in sci-fi history becomes difficult to get on with. Overall it would be fair to say if your a fan of the star wars series and like to play games that require little skill or brain power and you enjoy eating junk food and never leaving your bedroom or you are 12 years old then sure go and purchase this game but don't expect do be thrilled with the plastic disc that just mugged your piggy bank!.

Bought this game for my 5 year old boy who has binned Ben 10 for all things Star Wars. Game was easy enough for him to play, and only on a couple of occasions did dad have to help out. Only annoying thing was Yoda who keeps interrupting game play with albeit helpful hints, just far too many times. All in all a great game for young ones.

Good points:

Interesting story/game play
Good co-op play
Good graphics

Bad points:

Short campaign
Not enough playable characters
Unable to play dark side characters
Too much emphasis on jumping on one thing to another on almost all missions - boring after a while, more variation was needed.

I bought this game for my 9 year old son, and as far as I can gather it totally lives up to his expectations. He particularly likes games that have the possibility of playing with more than one player, and has been playing avidly with his 7 year old sister.
