As seen in Star Trek Generations this Enterprise sports the damage it sustained during it's encounter with an energy ribbon while responding to a distress call from a transport ship trapped in the ribbon. It was the ship's maiden voyage but it was missing several positions, parts and equipment, it had no medical staff, no tractor beam and no photon torpedoes. This was the last time former Captain James T. Kirk (now retired) was to be on Starship. After enabling the Enterprise to escape the ribbon (after it completed it's rescue it became tapped itself) the deck where Kirk was suffered a hull breach and Kirk was swept out into the ribbon.

A brilliantly detailed model. The mold is better than the excelsior (esp the nacelles).

HASH(0x958b7438) out of 5 stars A Review....? Not Till Next Tuesday. 13 Sept. 2014

The Enterprise-B is the successor to the Enterprise-A. This ship made it's maiden voyage in Star Trek: Generations as a new Enterprise Captain takes over where Kirk left off. After leaving Space Dock with most of it's crew and equipment not coming in till next Tuesday, the Enterprise-B was suppose to take a quick flight around the Solar System until Star Trek fate says other wise, this is also the ship that took the life of the Legendary Starship Captain James T. Kirk. This is an excellent detailed ship and has different lines and sounds from the movie Generations and come with a VERY nice stand. You can cycle through the different sounds by pressing down on the bridge, you can also hold down the bridge button to make the lights come on for a neat effect.

HASH(0x958bfa2c) out of 5 stars If you love starships as much as I do 5 Jun. 2015

If you love starships as much as I do, then you'll love this version of the Enterprise B. Diamond Select/Art Asylum has hit another home run with this battle-damaged edition of the "B". It has damage from the Nexus Ribbon from Star Trek: Generations, including the damage around the main deflector that caused the disappearance of Captain Kirk. The lights and sounds are top-notch, with dialogue from the movie, including Captain Harriman and Captain Kirk. The paint scheme is outstanding with the most minute detail. And the display stand is very robust. This ship will make a great addition to any collection and I hope Diamond Select will someday make an Enterprise C to add to their impressive inventory.

HASH(0x95b69378) out of 5 stars Good ship, lights and sounds are OK, "battle damage" is really fake 15 Mar. 2015

This is a well constructed ship! I have seen reviews of the Excelsior and Enterprise B without the damage and they weren't as well constructed. I am not a big fan of the "battle damage" (it was damaged in the Nexus, not a battle, BTW) because it just looks like someone striped it with some gray spray paint. I had some problems getting the batter casing off, but once I put better batteries in, the sounds and lights would appear more readily once I pushed the button; at first it was touch and go. Right now it works, but only once you release the button, not upon pressing the button. The stand seems somewhat sturdy and it looks really cool.

Icing on the cake...I had William Shatner sign the saucer section!

Well made, screen accurate. If you are a fan of Captain Kirk this is a must have. The last starship Kirk would sail on, the sound bites captures my favorite moments of the film. The battle damage is all done by the paint job rather than molded. But still very effective
