Being an industrial electrician there's a requirement for me to have insulated tools and I bought these about 5 years ago.
Still have the original set minus the small "neon indicator" which I binned straight away as I don't agree these "tools" should be used by anyone.
The only other tool that let me down one day was the small terminal screwdriver. The head fractured and chipped one day after lots of use. However I placed the driver in a vice and filed down a new head. I have since bought a replacement as you can buy these screwdrivers individually on the internet or from clas ohlsen.
The fact the terminal screwdriver failed I think is not somthing to put you off buying this set as theyre are very comfortable and reliable drivers and the terminal head is actually a very good fitting size which I struggle to find elsewhere with other sets (terminals seem to be very small and dainty nowdays however this one is a nice size).
This exactly what I got.
I was recommended these over sets which were 3-4 times the price. I'm glad I brought the Stanley as for me they can't be improved on.
A month of fairly frequent use and no deterioration or marking on the tools.
A few of them went through 4 months of intense work, being in my pocket for 8 hours a day doing various tasks, not one broke, the markings did rub off a but but that's expected.
No faults and I would buy again!
1- they were Stanley Fatmax and I've had good experiences of their tools before
2- the selection of drivers is good, 3 pozies, 3 flats and 3 philips
3- the Price
Being Stanley fatmax I knew they would be good but i wasn't expecting to much as they were so cheap, but i can honestly say this is the best set of insulated drivers I've ever owned. The build quality feels and looks really good, plus I find the shape is really comfortable to use. I actually prefer these to the CK drivers which cost a lot more. haven't had them long so I really hope the tips don't break but I'm pretty confident they won't as they feel really well made. 10 out of 10 for these, I'd recommend them to anyone looking for a new set of VDE drivers.
