Hello fellow Satillite/Aerial engineers,(for this is my trade)

How may times have you gone up and down the ladder, when working at height ,all because you have forgotten to pick up cable clips,or 12mm spanner etc. Well this vest has just enough pockets and pouches to stop all of this,it even has a hammer loop.

I've tried conventional tool belts, but found I was getting painful lower backache. So I stopped wearing it for a week and found the pain had gone with in that time, which then prompted me to look at other alternatives.Whilst looking through Amazon for a tool holder ,I came across the Fatmax tool vest, took the plunge and ordered it.

Well am I glad I did, when I opened it up, it seemed so light in weight, but don't let that put you off as once you have adjusted it to your body size you just fill the pockets to suit your needs, even when fully ladened it is comfortable to wear, and no more back problems...this product should become part of your PPE,the only negetive is that it should be more visable, instead of having to wear a hi-vis, hence the 4 out of 5 stars.

I hope you find this review helpful!

Couldn't get hold of these for a while as I think they are not made any longer. The last one I bought 3 and a half years ago has finally worn out so I needed a replacement. Not cheap but good quality.

I had be looking for a new tool vest for a while after my Snickers version became less functional and fairly worn, one of my work colleagues bought A stanley Fat Max and I was quite impressed. I 'ummed and arrred' for quite a while and eventually bought one. It's a bit weird when you basically live in one particular kind of tool vest for 5 days a week then have to get used to another. I found it quite hard to adjust to a new vest but after a few weeks find it a handy tool to have, moreso than the Snickers. However, the Snickers was more comfortable to wear straight off, I was hoping the Stanley which is quite stiff, would soften over a period of weeks but it does rub against the neck and I still find it uncomfortable to wear.

I'm in two minds at the moment whether to stick with it because my LED Lenser P6 torch fits in one of the pockets while in it's own protective case, or to go with comfort, put the torch in a tool belt and get a new version of the Snickers Workwear 4192 Duratwill Flexi Toolvest

Bought the vest for my husband's work. He thinks it is great and all his colleagues are commenting on it. The shoulder straps are not padded so can be uncomfortable depending on the clothes you are wearing. Holds almost all the tools he needs - he just needs space for an extra pair of pliers.
