"Killer" is a brilliantly written prequel to the coming soon, " Stalker".. All the characters are really well developed. I could see Phoenix quite clearly in my minds eye...the story line grabs you, holds you, and pulls you in until the end. There are secrets within the secrets and nothing is as it seems. The blurb does not prepare you for this fast paced, dark erotic story, or the look into the pitch black mind of Phoenix Sullivan..... what really scared me was to watch Vanessa's mind slowly going over to the dark side. Or has she been there all along?
First of all...... WOW, just, WOW! .....This story is just one revelation after another. These characters are so well develped, in fact they continue to develop all the way through as we share their memories, mistakes, and sins....Some believe that people are a product of their up bringing. Others believe that at some point we can choose how we are going to be. But what if that up bringing was so stringent, dark, abusive, never to feel loved,...so terrifing that it truly became the only way to survive? To do or die...Or to do, so someone else doesn't die? ... This is such a story. We get both POV's from Miles, who later becomes Phoenix Sullivan, a killer, who has escaped prison with vengeance, his sole focus. and then there's Vanessa, who is molded into the object that will further the power of her family, and much later, she escapes one hell, only to find herself in another hell, and to top it off, she knows he is coming for her, she is stalked, and hunted. She knew this day was coming, but she's not ready this soon.......
There is so much going on.... stories within stories... secrets, deceptions, corruption, greed, and murder...
I recommend this to adults who like a fast paced, dark, read. There is cruelty and violence involved..... Are You Ready?

Hmmm...I have read a lot of Clarissa Wild's books but I think this one is the darkest of them all. The mood is dark and foggy; the characters and plot complex.
I was lucky enough to read Killer before diving into Stalker and I think that was great because I got to know things that are not included in Stalker. I highly recommend it you start Killer first because it gives you a perfect intro to the story. You have time. ;))))
This book picks up right from where Killer left us. Phoenix is in prison, enduring Vanessa's revenge while planning his own vengeance. He has one and only purpose; to find Vanessa and make her pay for her lies and betrayal. He thinks of nothing else, he wants nothing else. His thoughts are dark and his intentions darker.

There is just one problem: he is locked up. He has to get out of his cell and he will do anything to achieve that; even trust other people.

Vanessa is living a life of luxury. She is a star. She is wealthy and she has a man by her side. But is she happy? It seems like she is haunted by her past, by her mistakes...In reality she has no one. She is lonely and her relationship with her late husband's brother is anything but satisfying.

What I liked about this book is that we got to see flasbacks of their lives. We get to see how Phoenix and Vanessa met. We get to see how they were brought together and how they were torn apart. These characters are imperfect. They are not redeemable. They do not regret their actions; they do not search for forgiveness. They are two selfish people that despite everything have fallen in love. I have to admit that I was on Phoenix's side more and that is a novelty for me.

Killer-She gives you just enough to give you a taste but leaves you wanting more. So much MORE. There were a few twists in there too that I did not see. I enjoyed this book and I am ready for Stalker. Bring it on Clarissa!

Stalker-OH MY!!!!! This book was deliciously twisted. I loved how there were flashbacks and how they helped tie the story all together. There were some things I definitely did not see coming and then the ending was not what I expected at all. It was raw. At times I was left speechless and thinking seriously. Oh yes......You will LOVE this story.

I was given an arc for a honest review.

HASH(0x8e396f18) out of 5 stars Awesome read for fans of dark romances 1 Nov. 2015
By Jessica from Maine Book Momma - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
Holy crap. The Stalker Duology, was dark and twisted – suspenseful. Erotic. It was also one of the craziest romances that I have read in a while but I absolutely loved it.

This set of books starts with Killer and you’re introduced to the various players – who all seem to be ruthless and sadistic. Vindictive. As you read on and the complex plot unfolds, you become more than a little curious about Vanessa. She is merciless and desperate to save herself – all so she can escape the complicated relationship she is entangled in. It’s not only clever how it all plays out but entertaining as hell.

And just when you think the plot cannot get any darker, the story gets truly uncivilized in Stalker. As a reader you should be horrified or disgusted by the situation but instead it’s freaking hot. The connection between these two is powerful and intense. Life has made them both into monsters and as you read, you wonder what their happily ever after will look like. Or if they will even be able to get past themselves and all the obstacles that stand in there way.

Both book’s storylines move at a fast pace and they alternate perspectives as well as switching from the present to the past. You are quickly drawn in the drama of the main character’s lives. The author fills each scene with jaw dropping moments whether it be the couple’s sexual escapades or their need for vengeance against one another. It’s awesome.

I wouldn’t recommend The Stalker Duology to anyone who is looking for a sweet romance but if you are looking to creep in a dark sexual fantasy filled with fascinating characters, it is a must read.

HASH(0x8e396f6c) out of 5 stars Dark and gritty read! 1 Nov. 2015
By Paula of Harps Romance Book Review - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
This book is so full of twist and turns your head will spin, a must read. Love and Hate, Lust and Betrayal. In Killer you meet Vanessa and Phoenix. Vanessa's husband is murdered and she is framed. Or is she? In Killer, Phoenix is out for revenge on Vanessa. He plans to punish her every way possible before he kills her. You will not know who is bad and who is worse with all the surprises the author throws at you. This is a real page turner of mind games, it is dark and violent and so so hot! I received this book as an arc for a honest review.

HASH(0x8e5e0840) out of 5 stars A twisted psychological thriller with a lot of steamy heat! 2 Nov. 2015
By SEB - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
"Killer", the first book in this box set duo was a thriller about a womanizing husband who is murdered and the plot thickens as his wife is blamed for it. Did she do it or was she the pawn in a scheme by someone else? This prequel was sexy, suspenseful and had so many twists that I wasn't sure who to believe. The end was a surprise and it opens up the door for the next book in the series. A delicious taste of what will be a great revenge mystery.
There was plenty of nasty and just wrong revenge in “Stalker”, but it wasn't quite as explosive as I thought it would be. The methods used by Phoenix/Miles to capture and break down Vanessa were cruel, degrading and at times hotter than hell...but, without spoiling the book for anyone else, there was a complete reversal at one point and the ending was not as dark as I thought it might turn out to be.
Both of these characters had terrible and unusual childhoods (just because Vanessa came from money didn't mean she was treated well) and although Miles was the one who everyone thought was dangerous and a "killer"...Vanessa was forced into some pretty abusive and illegal situations herself leading me to wonder who the real bad guy was in this story.
I think the two of them were fairly suited to each other and their childhood relationship and history made for some interesting revelations once Phoenix had her in his clutches.
If you like twisted psychological thrillers with a lot of kinky sex and emotional trauma, then this is the one for you!
I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

HASH(0x8e450210) out of 5 stars you have to wonder why a trophy wife will be caught up in a problem like this and why a man like Phoenix is interested ... 6 Nov. 2015

Stalker (n)

a person who closely follows and watches another person for a long period of time in a way that is threatening, dangerous, etc.

The webester definition sums up this story in a nutshell. A story that is so dark and crazy that you have to wonder if it gone beyond the realm of sanity as this is not your mother’s romance to say the least.

Stalker Duology box set contains the full Stalker series which tells the story of Phoneix and Vanessa two individuals caught up in a dark game that is full of twists and turns.

In Killer which is the prologue for Stalker, the scene is set for the events to unfold that is the story of Phoneix and Vanessa and we meet our characters who all have deadly secrets to hide. They all only look after themselves it seems as they are ruthless and determined. Though Vanessa stands out clearly from the get go, you have to wonder why a trophy wife will be caught up in a problem like this and why a man like Phoenix is interested in this woman. Their paths may of only cross for a moment but the consequences are devastating and the full aftermath is yet to come.

Stalker continues the story and seems now Vaness a is the woman that you would expect considering that she is a trophy wife with a brain . A woman who has been forced to play a role and now just wants to forget her past and go after the man she wants. . Painting us a picture of a seemingly normal woman but anything but it seems as nothing as it seems. The story picks up from Killer where it let off but the normality is not for these characters and it quickly picks up with even darker thread that was lurking around in the prologue. One that is truly fitting for dark romance , one that blows Killer’s storyline out of the water.

One that is a fast pace and never takes a foot of the brake. As whilst the lines were drawn clearly in Killer. Stalker offers a full picture and we get to see the trueness of the characters. As everything aside the simple fact they have a connection that is tangible and intense . However will this be enough considering that the life they have been give have made them do things they have regret and turned them to into monsters…

Will they be able to ever overcome their pasts and their situations?

Stalker and Killer are both intriguing and suspense stories with a plot that doesn’t seem amiss in the general. Quickly drawing you in with a story that is quickly changing and alternating from two time periods and both of our protagonist. Wild gives you a story that is engaging and unique that you won’t forget in a hurry.

These are my first books from Wild and I loved the books overall. She knows how to write a dark romance well and give the twist and turns that you would expect for this kind of story. I loved that she didn’t give us the conventional ending that you would expect for a romance in general. Instead she gave us an ending fitting for this couple. I enjoyed Phoneix and Vanessa’s story it was something different to say the least . However I wanted to know more about this organisation, the one that shaped this story so much. It felt such a missing link to the story ,we did get some details but I wanted them all. A intimate look to say the least.

HASH(0x8e450450) out of 5 stars Review from Abibliophobia Anonymous Book Reviews 4 Nov. 2015
By Tonya Allen - Published on Amazon.com

What the heck did I just read? I mean that in the best possible way. I freakin loved this story. It's left me completely mind f***** and wanting Stalker now.

Vanessa Starr has a horrible marriage. But she can't divorce him. Her husband cheats on her, and doesn't hide it. There is no love between them.

Phoenix Sullivan was just suppose to be a revenge screw so Vanessa could get back at her husband. But he's also a killer!

"I have on rule for anyone who dares to come into my life; don't f*** with me, or I'll f****** kill you. I make zero exceptions. Just because you have a vagina doesn't mean you're any less likely to die."

I really didn't know what to expect while reading this. I definitely wasn't expecting that ending though.

Both of these characters are messed up! I freakin love it!

Holy Crap! After reading Killer, the prequel, I had to get my greedy eyes on Stalker. And I’m so glad that I did. Wow, just wow. I needed a great dark read, and boy did I get it with this book.

Phoenix and Vanessa have way more history than we originally knew about in Killer. It makes sense though, because of their reactions to one another. They are both so messed up in the head.

We learn what caused Miles to become Phoenix. They both are at fault for it. But, so is Vanessa’s mother. I think she is more at fault than any one. She was very manipulative, especially towards her own daughter. She made Vanessa the way she is.

I loved how their past was mixed in with their present story. We really get to see all the things to make BOTH of them how they are.

This is a story about revenge, hate, love, pain, and lies. But the truth does come out. Sorry for being a little vague, but I don’t want to post any spoilers. There are some twists in the story.

I still think Vanessa is a b****, but I like her. These two are meant for each other, if they don’t kill each other first.

“There’s nothing redeemable about us. Nothing that makes us good. Nothing that makes us worthy of love. Not me or her.”

I would love to have more of their story!
