4.0 out of 5 stars Well-researched 22 Aug. 2014
By Ruth Danner - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
Henderson does a good job of blending family story with carefully documented research, giving the reader a feel for west Texas, past and present. Only one thing would make this book better: an index to help readers quickly find references to characters like Kit Carson and places like Spudnuts and Pecos.
