I bought this book immediately after reading Stairlift To Heaven 1 simply because the first book was so incredibly funny and full of embarrassing (to me) home truths! I also bought Stairlift 3 and am about to read that. Like Mr Ravenscroft I am a self-published Kindle writer (I mention this in the hope that he will read this excellent review and then read my book 'It's Too Bloody Hot To Work' and give it a push!). Sorry, Terry, but my previous is half-a dozen published works of erotica under the name Kendal Grahame and I prefer the idea of being considered a future writer of fun, especially as far as my grandchildren are concerned!
Anyway, back to the review. This book is simply great fun; nothing more to say. My only problem now is that having discovered Mr R I am hooked on his style and will have to read more and more at the expense of my studies in ancient Greek philosophy and my hobby of collecting fresh fish bones. Oh well.
Keep up the good work Mr R!

firstly, as a bowel cancer survivor myself I would just like to wish 'the trouble' aka Terry's wife continued best wishes after her illness as I know first hand the devastating effects cancer has on not just the patient but their close family loved ones and friends.
once again Terry has done it again in his second stairway book. Not only was it just as funny as the first, again there are some really useful tips for hours of naughtyness that I fully intend to try regardless of not being an O.A.P I've since bought a few more of Terry's books including the third stairway one which I intend to read in one sitting. I've looked at a few negative reviews and can only say 'lighten up, if you can't grow old in the manner you want to while you still have all your faculties and freedom of speech, then it's a sorry state we live in!' I'm all for pensioners behaving badly if it's all in good fun and hope I'm just the same in my dotage years! well done Terry for once again making me laugh out loud or as us younger ones would say.....lol

I am sure people on the bus thought I was a nutcase but I couldn't stop laughing, it was so bad that I was actually crying. This author is a genius at taking the piss out of life. I absolutely loved this book and I can't wait for the next instalment. Long may he continue to write books like these because if you can't have a laugh then what is the point???

Well, Mr R has done it again. Another splendid peek into the life of Terry and co. I love the fact that this time Atkins has been let loose to express himself. I urge you to buy this now, not wait until Christmas as if we are to believe the Mayans we won't be here, and it woud be a shame to miss out on another cracking read. Bravo Mr. Ravenscroft.

If i say that this book is a pile of c@#p do i get a mention at the start of STH3?
Well i'm afraid it's not.
Terry R has done it again with a very funny diary of the ups and downs in the Ravenscroft household.
Very easy to read, full of everyday encounters that don't go quite as expected.
Just love the charity shop chapters.
Roll on STH-3.

I've read several of Terry's books. Stairlift to Heaven was very funny indeed.

I recently got Stairlift to Heaven 2 on my Kindle.

Unfortunately I had to put it down on more than one occasion as I couldn't stop laughing.

I literally had tears rolling down my cheeks several times.

I can relate to a lot of what Terry has written about and I'm only 46!

This is by far the most recent book I have read and well worth getting.

Keep up the good work.

Loved Stairlift to Heaven this looks as if it will be just as good. Very very dissapointed with Amazon as what you are actualy purchacing is just a taster of the book as the book is not released until later in the year.

I wasn't too well whilst reading this but I'm delighted to say it really cheered me up no end. It's very funny - should be prescribed on the NHS! Personally I laughed out loud a lot more at Stairlift 1 (but that could be as I wasn't poorly at the time!) that said I wasn't disappointed with this book at all. Buy this - you will enjoy!
