Being a musician, I also use stagg stands for other instruments. They have never let me down.
This little stand is well made, has an adjustable protective pad and is so compact when folded up
it will almost go into my sax case with my sax. Definately worth buying!

As innocent internet consumers we often purchase with undue trepidation when confronted by a new name or product. So it was with baited breath that I awaited delivery of what I hoped was not yet another knee jerk 'bargain buy'. I need not have worried. I have various Hercules stands for guitars and one for my tenor and there is no doubt they are substantial pieces of kit... if a little on the heavy side. So my immediate reaction when the postman thrust the parcel into my eager hands was, "It's a bit on the light side, innit?" Well, yes it is when compared to a heavier stand... so what? The only relevant question is 'does it do the job?' and if it does, then the reduction in tonnage is a most welcome plus for the peripatetic horn blower.

The build quality is a tad less robust than the Hercules - but then as the Hercules is a tad over-engineered I guess that makes the Stagg spot on. It has an adjustable bell rest, for alto or tenor, and a nice sized knob to screw the upright to the well splayed tripod foot and goes together well. I have Stagg guitar cases for a Strat and Yamaha G623 - both well made still going strong after many years service and I am pleased to say this stand is of like quality.

Of the two sax stands I think I prefer the Stagg - and not just because at 10 quid inc. p&p it is half the price of the Hercules - but because it is slightly quicker/easier to assemble/disassemble and is a simple but aesthetically pleasing object in itself.

Fine for my Alto after I moved the yoke to the lower setting. Top setting suitable for a tenor presumably. I doubt that it would be good for anything bigger.
Happy blowing!

I'm a saxophone beginner so all decisions are tricky! I weighed up the reviews and price of this one and the more expensive option and gave this one a go. I think its really good. You probably wouldn't want to leave your sax on it if you have kids or dogs running around but other than that it is solid enough to do the job and the portability is handy. It would have been good if the label or packaging had some kind of picture of it with a sax on it to save me looking up how it is supposed to work, but it only took a quick google images search and my sax is now happily living on it.

After receiving a saxaphone for christmas I realised I needed a stand to safely store my expensive instrument, after reading several reviews this stand for the price seemed to tick the boxes. after an inital delay over the new year period it arrived it comes in 2 pieces with no instructions but theres only 1 way to put it together. it holds the instrument firmly and securly much better than puting it in its case every time . I can really recomend this stand and seller.

I am learning the sax and wanted a good stand.

I read the reviews on this one and decided to try it.
For the price it is a very solid piece of kit, easy to assemble, and my sax looks great. I was worried that it would be easy to topple over but It's stable and strong.

If you need a stand, I would recommend this item. You won't go wrong.

Delivery as very quick and collection from my nominated depot was really easy.

For the money, this stand is excellent. It's well made and does the job simply and effectively. I also have a Hercules stand which as others have mentioned is somewhat over-engineered but it is more compact, low lying and has less spread on the floor. It's a more refined design but is considerably more expensive. If money was no object I would choose a Hercules over a Stag but cost aside, they are on level pegging.

Simple design but does the job well! Very sturdy product, very easy to set up and holds the saxophone perfectly. Comes apart and folds up easily for times when it needs to be taken elsewhere. Represents excellent value.
