HASH(0x9345a924) out of 5 stars I am glad that the author decided to release all three of ... 10 July 2015
By Amazon Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
When Melanie Potter walks into Tristian Everett's literature class she is immediately drawn to her professor. Knowing that it is against all rules at the university she fights the urges to approach her professor.

Tristian Potter is drawn to Emily Potter, who just happens to be his student, but knowing it is against policy and basically taboo, he keeps his distance and his desires to himself.

What the two don't expect is for flames to fly when they just happen to meet two years later in the very "STACKS" of Columbia's Library. When Tristian ask's Melanie out for a drink he is surprised that she says yes. As the evening progresses and temperatures heat up the feelings that they both unknowingly were surpressing for each other start to rise. But, is what you want going to be what you need?

I am glad that the author decided to release all three of these novellas into one book, because it allows you to follow the story between Tristian and Mel smoothly. From the very beginning it starts of hot and heavy and does not slow down. The thing is that really pulls at you is the emotions that Katie Devoe writes into the story. This for the most part is a very straight forward book, not very many twist or turns, but sometimes a book like this as heavy reader is just what the doctor order so to say. I enjoyed reading it, and yes it will cause your temperature to rise. The way that she stories will give you just a hint of underlying BDSM, which is what will keep you locked into what our couple is doing. So if you want just a smooth and quick read that is loaded with sexual content, than grab up this little jewel, and right now it is cheap!!!

HASH(0x9345a9a8) out of 5 stars Enjoyed this steamy romance 9 July 2015
By LBAS Book Blog - Published on Amazon.com

Tristan is a College Professor who's been attracted to Melanie since she was his student. Years after graduation Mel is back in the city and using the college library when they meet again. Tristan can't resist her and invites her out to drinks which she accepts. They enjoy each other's company and what starts out as 5 days of just fun and sex turns into something more serious when they can seem to let each other go after Mel starts her job at Princeton.

Although Tristan insists to himself that he isn't cut out for a relationship and love, it is soon obvious that there is more between the two of them as the stakes get higher.

I have to say I liked both Tristan and Mel very much. As an alpha hero, I loved the dominance as well as the vulnerability that he sometime displayed. It's fantastic to see a man who is always so sure of himself fall in love and become uncertain and even scared about losing the one he loves. Mel is strong and not afraid to go for what she wants.

This is my first time of reading this author and I can honestly say I will read her again. No doubt. She writes sexy romance the way I enjoy it: strong likeable characters, just enough steam to raise body temperatures and an intriguing storyline.

If I take the time to review a book it means I liked it. I won't even finish the ones I can't get in to.

HASH(0x92d41da4) out of 5 stars I liked the professor aspect 7 July 2015
By Shanoff Says... - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
**I received an ARC for an honest review.**

This series is a quick and sexy read. I liked the professor aspect, especially the domineering sexy professor. Professor Tristan Everett is definitely what teacher dreams are made of. I liked him all around. I immediately liked his character and the wayward way of his thoughts when he laid eyes on Melanie after a couple of years.

Their relationship is riddled with sexual tension and explodes pretty quickly. I liked that even though Tristan wanted nothing more than to take Mel, he made her take the time to think what he told her through before he took her as his. Of course it starts off as just five days and boy what a steamy five days they were.

Both characters go through a ton of different emotions during their relationship and most are new to them and their personalities. I liked that Tristan was confused by his growing feelings towards Mel. I liked that even though it started out as lust and desire it quickly turned into more and neither one are willing to give it up. What made me fall in love with Tristan even more was his willingness to do whatever it took to be with Mel. He spent his adult life building his career and putting that first but when the time came and he knew that it was time for a change, I really loved him more.

There were somethings in this series that I cold have done without. Things that really didn't need to be in the book, but they did add a bit of the drama factor, but still they just felt inserted instead of part of the characters lives. It was odd that a lot of their past lives just kind of pop up instead of being mentioned from the beginning. I think at times the characters could have been a bit more developed outside of each other, but seeing as this is meant to be a quick erotic read I think it did it's job.

The ending to this series is great and I am glad that Mel got that little surprise one such a special day. I also liked that Tristan was such an amazing man and made sure that he always did what was best for Mel.
