Yes, it is lightweight, but it is no more than a carry handle. I had to add extra rubber to stop the camera from flapping about on the mount as it wouldnt go tight enough.
Even once it seemed sturdy (in a plasticky way), the results in use were worse than if I'd just hand-held. I set it so the camera balanced perfectly level in the hand.
It MIGHT be useful for lowdown shots, but slow walking shots were jerky in comparison to others that I'd done without.
It was very cheap, but still disappointing.

This C-Grip/Scorpion Grip came with two attachments in the base.
I unscrewed the base plate and took one of them out.
( I read a review where someone said the second one gets in the way)
I used the one I removed to increase the gap between the grip's feet and the
tripod's head plate.
The black washer you see is one I had spare (Camera Hot Shoe Mount to 1/4"-20 Tripod Screw Adapter).
I needed something that offered a good grip, so I could tighten the attachment properly.
