Product description

About the Author

Kate Johnson lives behind a keyboard in Essex and belongs to a small pride of cats. She also seems to have developed a habit of talking about herself in the third person, which she'll stop now. I was born in the 1980s and have spent the intervening years watching romantic comedies and reading Terry Pratchett, which sort of made it inevitable that I'd grow up to write fantastical stories about people falling in love. I've worked in an airport and in a laboratory, but much prefer being an author since it allows me to look at pictures of handsome men all day for the purposes of research. I spend a lot of time online (seriously, a lot of time), Tweeting, reading other people's blogs, and trying to justify the purchase of more shoes, and when I've completely run out of other things to do, I occasionally write books.

This is not the style of book I would usually read (and the very pink cover did put me off a little), but in an effort to save money - I thought I would try a few books that are currently free for Kindles.
I'm so glad I did. I absolutely LOVED this book. I couldn't put it down & finished it in 1 day, then promptly bought the next three in the series.
The plot is rather silly, but the main characters are all very likeable & by the end of the book you feel as if you know them personally.
I'll be recommending these books to all my family & friends - definitely great holiday reads (although I did get a few funny looks when I was smiling to myself in public!).

I only read half of this and that took me several weeks (and read several other books in between). I just found the whole premise a bit daft and couldn't get into it. Glad I got it as a freebie.

Sometimes, you don't want much, just a fun light book, with a fab heroine and a gorgeous couple of heroes. This book was free and I took a gamble, and I am so glad I did, The I Spy? Sophie Green Mysteries deliver this on all counts. I read the book over the weekend, and really enjoyed it, Sophie is a smart sassie heroine who has a habit of being in the wrong place at the wrong time, and a gorgeous new boss, called Luke. Along with Macbeth, and Maria, and One, they try to solve the murder of one of Sophie's colleagues, which turns out to be part of a bigger picture. A fun read, which rattles along at good pace. I will be downloading the next few in the series very soon and I am more than happy to pay for them which shows you how good this book actually is.

The perfect book if you want to while away a few hours escaping reality.

The heroine is a ditzy blonde spy who has an uber HOT partner, they have a whirlwind trip around the world hot on the trail some real shifty characters!! (booooo hiss)

Its pretty silly, but thats one of the things that made it so fun and exciting right up to the end!

Reminded me a bit of the stephanie plum series but with its own unique character and Britishness!

Sophie works for a budget airline and is a bit bored with her job, having little money, and being harrassed by passengers that think she is a blonde bimbo. She helps stop a criminal - and her life changes when she's invited to join an undercover spy agency. Although very enthusiastic, things don't quite work out as she would want. Unfortunately, she ends up getting too drunk, being sick, and spending her money (and the agency money) on designer labels in Italy when she should be tailing a suspect.

This is a great little story, full of silly scenes, innuendo and a totally British way of being a spy. There were times when it made me laugh out loud, and I really couldn't put it down till I got to the end. It appealed to my slightly warped sense of humour and is the kind of book that just puts a smile on your face. I would definitely get others by this author.

Suitable for most adults, it's the kind of thing that could easily be read on a journey or on the beach. Light, easily read in small chunks or straight through, it's a really great little book.

Got this when it was free for my Kindle App on my iphone. It was great, a little far fetched at times but makes you think about if people are who they say they are! Loved the relationship between Sophie & Luke. Loved the way the story turned out and will buy the next installament in these series of books. A great read... download now....

I loved this book, got really drawn into the whole plot of things. Yes it is a bit silly at times, but the silly side makes the book funny. A really light read, I became totally addicted and could not put it down! Will definately be buying the next books in the series.

After reading the reviews I thought it was going to be dull but I really liked it. I read it during the summer and I couldn't put it down.. even though I had the beach right in front of me... nothing serious... but good entertainment :)
