Tim Elliott (Darren Boyd) is a single father trying to win back the respect and affections of his precocious nine year old son, Marcus. In the hope of proving that he is not a complete loser, Tim quits his dead-end job only to find his life changes forever when he is accidentally recruited as a trainee spy for MI5. Tim struggles as he attempts to run his parallel family and professional lives without his secret being discovered.
Supervising Tim at work is his irrepressible MI5 boss known only as “The Examiner” (Robert Lindsay) and there’s fellow agent and love interest Caitlin. Adding to the chaos of Tim’s life are his acidic ex-wife, Judith, her enthusiastic new boyfriend Philip and his anti-social friend Chris.

A nice chap for a hero, his son is a jerk, his potential girlfriend is kickass, his ex wife is a bitch, her boyfriend is silly, the psychologist is crazy, his boss is nuts. I don't think I'm giving too much away.
In the story, a divorced father in a go nowhere job goes for an interview and ends up inadvertently hired as an Mi-5 agent. The father has a intelligent 10 year old boy (Marcus) who is quite smart, but is caught in a custody battle between his pill addicted mom and his dad, who can only report publically that he is a civil service agent, and appears to have great disdain for having to spend time with his father. On-going competition here. The ex-wife is unable to contain her disdain for her ex husband throughout the series and constantly refers to upcoming court hearings, "make a note for." The father's new supervisor is a psychopathic crazy that feels others need to be killed in order to keep the Mi-5 status secret.

It has it's moments but from what I've watched I wouldn't watch it frequently. There are better comedy tv series out there.Published 20 days ago by Mr. Benjamin J. Raddon
Oh my gosh, this has to be one of the most underrated tv shows! It's brilliant - very witty. The only issue is that there wasn't another series made.Published 6 months ago by Amazon Customer
Just simply a great sitcom. It's not brining anything new or daring to the comedy genre, but what it does supply is done well. Great cast, great writing, and plenty of laughs.Published 7 months ago by Wayne
Very funny. Well written and acted. I'm surprised that there were only two seasons made. Our family favorite show.Published 7 months ago by C Smith
The first series is the best comedy I've seen in years, but the second is a bit disappointingPublished 13 months ago by CJ
Such an amazing series.. Full of funny moments and loads of comedy for any age. The actors bring the series to life with so many little quirks.Such as shame it isn't coming back.Published 15 months ago by Scott knapp
