This is a remarkable story of courage and faith. Although written by a Christian it does not in any way push Christianity in your face, it just makes you aware of how a a person with faith can get help you through the most dreadful experiences. At the same time the author hasd not dwelt at all on the horrors that he and his fellow prisoners experienced. It is no way a tale of the gruesome events that went on in Korean POW camps. It is just a tale of human endurance and courage with one particualar mane the leading light for so many men. A truly uplifting book.

I bought this book for my Dad as he was in the Gloucestershire Regiment and it was recommended to me by another ex soldier. My Dad said it was an excellent book, full of accurate depictions of army life & people he remembers. Would recommend. A great read about humanity.

I was very pleased to find this book on Amazon as it is currently out of print. My husband wanted this book for Christmas as he had known the author. Although second hand, the book was "as new", and I received it within 48 hours of ordering. I cannot comment on the book's narrative as my husband has not yet read it.
