This book reaches into the dark recesses of those of us who have had, or still have the need for HUGE self-reliance; control issues; deep anger; unrecognised insecurities (we might excuse as strength). It begins to explain why many folk feel isolated and lash out verbally (or otherwise) at even those closest to them . . .if you feel as if you are out there alone; did not have 200% perfect parents (who has?); can even begin to dare to believe that there may be a 'higher power' out there who knows you inside out and back to front and still actually loves you, warts n' all - believe me, this book is well worth reading. I gave it 4 rather than 5 in the ratings because I struggled with the Americanisms such as 'dumb-dumb-ville' and 'gotten'. Pls forgive me but I LOVE correct use of English! I found this US terminology distracted rather than helped me stick with the points being made. But generally the book was VERY, very helpful - UK readers - just overlook the 'over-the-pond' expressions and enjoy!

Jack Frost speaks from his fantastic experiences as a sea captain to explain more of the Father's Heart and His embrace. It will challenge you and it well worth the challenge.

This is written in a very accessible style and you have to honour Jack Frost for being so open about his journey from one-upmanship to a servant-hearted leader. But unless your pauper/slave mentality manifests itself as wanting authority and power at any cost, this book may not bring the revelation of how to move into being a son that you were hoping for. The table of examples of other Slave .v. Sonship thinking (in the appendix at the back of a book) is really interesting and are certainly worth digging into and researching further - I just wish they had been covered in the book...!

A well-written, semi-biographical book, which explains clearly why so many of us never quite feel 'at home', never quite settled, maybe restless, always looking for something better, etc. Jack takes us through his own spiritual journey, with clear teaching relating to the lessons he had to learn, albeit over a long period. I found it to be humbling and ver challenging. In places it describes me so accurately that I am in no doubt that I have to take some action to experience the relationship with God and others that he wants me to have.

I can't believe it has taken till now to see this stuff! It's incredible. I've been bright up in a Christian home, been a Christian for 35 years, I lead a sizeable church in the uk, but the revelation that Father is bring to me over this is incredible. This book has condensed into its pages the revelation that has been bubbling away in me over the last year.
