From about the age of seven, I started to develop strange feelings about certain people and places that often made me feel rather uncomfortable. This perception hasn't exactly changed very much throughout my entire life - it's only my understanding of what goes on around me that has significantly altered.
At the tender age of 37 I discovered the art of Deep Trance Mediumship. This incredible opportunity to work with spirit people who had collectively amassed a wealth of knowledge was both extremely humbling and inspiring. Indeed, I learned more about the spirit world during my first ever encounter with deep trance than I had previously accrued with over 10 years of mental mediumship.
Deep trance was all but a stepping stone to Physical Mediumship (séances) where I finally received 100% proof that life is truly eternal. However, I soon realised that my journey was not complete. I discovered that you never stop learning and developing - even the Great Spirit guides continually progress and evolve.
In 2007 I decided to alter course slightly and concentrate on the study of the human mind. I studied and qualified in the fields of Psychotherapy, Hypnotherapy and Past Life Therapy. Now I was ready to put all my skills to practical use as a therapist and more importantly as a healer. I intuitively knew by then that my mediumship should only ever be used for healing purposes so the transition into complementary therapies was a natural step. Qualifying as a Reiki Master/Teacher completed my training and the 'spiritcounsellor' was born.
I soon discovered that my passion for both deep trance mediumship and past life regression had brought me to the point where I wanted to demonstrate the virtues of both subjects to a wider audience. The local spiritualist organisations were only too keen for me to organise various workshops and the resulting feedback from the attendees was extremely positive. I also realised that the people who attended these workshops were extremely interested in me personally and not just the designated subjects - they wanted to know about my own personal journey through the thick and thin of spiritualism and they would often seek my advice on which path they should take.
Spurred on by this sudden interest in my own personal journey with the spirit world, I decided to write about my experiences from the earliest moments of discovering my sixth sense in childhood, to the present moment in time. I also wanted any reader to understand that I was just an ordinary bloke with only an aspiration to seek out answers to questions that nobody else had since dared to ask.
