This book is lovely. It's presented in a beautiful, original way and is stuffed full of information and fantastic artwork, including the authors. It is illustrated on nearly every page and has many sections about the hare, including history and habitat, the hare and the moon, fertility, spring and easter, fecundity and the feminine, the triple hare, harvest lore, folklore, charms and healing, hare stories, hare stories as allegory and hare symbolism. There are hare songs, poems and info about the hare in relation to the Goddess. There are some pages written in handwriting script, being excerpts of the authors journal, her own personal journey into discovering more about the hares she encounters and observes in her area. This book has a kind of 'magical, pagan' feel to it and would be of in interest to anyone who likes hares!!! It contains a wealth of delightful information and doesn't bog the reader down in any way. Neither is it a superficial read. It is a lovely book to give as a gift as it is so beautifully and richly presented. A treasure of a book! I would certainly recommend it!

I recommend this lovely book to anyone interested in the hare in anyway. Beautifully written, covers every aspect of the hare from her own observations, history, mythology and international customs, laid out in a very readable way and well researched. A gem of a book.

There's nothing better than sitting with a cuppa & enjoying this friendly, intimately written book, by an author who clearly has a great love for nature. This has fast become one of my favourite books. Buyers won't be disappointed!!
