Very pleased with this Vernon Sewell directed film as it has a good central role for Lee Patterson. He starred in many British films in the 1950s and was a favourite of many directors because he was very reliable. Faith Domergue is a nasty piece of work in this film and quite marvellous. A very good print with fine sound and is a Region 0 DVD.

"Star Power" Those words mean such a lot. 2 nights ago I watched "The Whole Truth" with Stewart Granger/George Sanders/Donna reed and Gianna Maria Canale. A "B" script elevated to "A" by "Star Power". Here we have a "B" film without the star power unless you count Faith Domergue(but I never could), and it does show. However, it's not a complete loss. Lee Pattereson always does his best but the rest of thecast are strictly "B", Robert Arden/Martin Benson/Sam Kydd, but there are some interesting locations, a good widescreen (not Scope 16.5?) transfer, picture and sound good. Vernon Sewell directs well, and the bottom line..Did I enjoy it? Yes, I did. Just don't expect too much (and it's a bit pricey).

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun Brit Noir 13 Sept. 2012

Faith Domergue came over to England in the Fifties to make three
B movies all darn good ones.

She was a "good girl" in the other two films but she is real bad in
this one.

Faith and that fine actor Martin Benson play Sicilian brother and
sister who more or less control the Soho rackets in 1950s London.

Well directed with good location work and excellent production design
by Ken Adam no less, this is a film no B movie lover should be without.

Remastered in widescreen DVD looks great too!
