This is a nice little book. Its compact size make it ideal to pack if you are making the long trip to Oz - I bought it for a colleague of mine who's emmigrating, and he was delighted.
The layout is clear and concise and the photography is particulary good - although probably not recommended for arachnophobes! The facts are well presented, and topics such as spiders with poisonous bites are treated without sensationalism.
All in all a good book for a fair price.

I purchased this book as I am going to Australia at the end of the year and have a keen interest in wildlife and wanted a book to help me identify spiders I may come across (being an amatuer arachnacologist), I found the book to be aimed at children with very little infomation on the different species and packed full of useless information like 'are spiders warm blooded'. This book will not really help you identify in any depth the different spiders found.
