Sparks Fly is a quick read, light, romance and is mainly set in San Francisco with a second setting in New York state.

Angelina Morgan is a feng shui consultant. She's been asked to help sort the home of Will Scott by his ex-wife. However their first meeting is a disaster when Will allows work phone calls to take over, and Angelina goes home intending to refund his wife.

She's persuaded to give it one more try and does make some headway, impressing Will when she explains a cluttered office stops energy flow and often causes trouble with staff and customers. Will's currently having plenty of trouble with both. Desperate to see Angelina again he finds tackling his office therapeutic, she's impressed when she returns.

Will likes that Angelina is happy to spend time with him for who he is and not for his bank balance, but his busy work demands still come between them. When his Mum has a fall he heads to New York to help, she spots his distraction and puts it straight down to woman trouble. Meddling, she demands a feng shui consultation from Angelina and contrives to bring the couple together.

A quick, clean light romance, I enjoyed the feng shui aspects and would have liked more if the novel extended to a longer story.

I only got this as it was free and short enough for me to drink a cup of coffee in the time that it took to read it.

I started, very quickly realised that there was no depth at all to this chicklit tale, and found myself irritated by the male lead, and also by the female lead and decided not to waste any more of my coffee break on it. 5 mins was waste enough.

I was disappointed in this book. It feels like it was written in a rush, the characters are not well developed, and very stereotypical. There were a few typos and some phrases didn't make sense. The action was on fast forward and not enough attention was given to show the feelings grow. There was nothing making the heroine special, not to mention the ex-wife sounded nicer and wiser that the main female character. Overall, I was terribly bored reading this book and I wouldn't recommend it.

As the other reviewers have said, this book needs another go around with an editor, but the guts of a good story are there, they just need tidying up. I don't agree with the price comments - if a book is great for a cheap price, brilliant, but all books should aim for as few typos etc as possible, and price should not be an excuse for them. Nevertheless, I made it through, so it gets a 3 star!

Not a great book, I honestly felt like throwing my ipod touch at the wall a few times as a result of reading this story, everything seemed rushed. I frankly do not understand what the main characters saw in one another, just a lot of internal musings an overly sensitive heroine and a not so big 'big misunderstanding'. None of the issues were fully fleshed out or properly addressed. And the random sub-plot (more of an aside really) involving derek and krista was totally unnecessary, no resolution or conclusion, nothing. It was entirely useless. Thankfully it was free.

When I started reading this short story I wasn't sure if I was going to finish it...but I'm glad I did as it grew on me. It is a typical opposites attract, all goes horribly wrong, but at the last moment everything falls into place and there is a happy ending love story.

Angelina, a successful and beautiful feng shui consultant is hired by Susan, the ex-wife of wealthy CEO Will, to work her magic on de-cluttering Will's personal life with Susan hoping to be reconciled with Will until she sees his affections heading along a different route...

I liked the story, and I liked the characters, but there could have been more depth to them - there was reference to Will's past but I don't feel I know anything about Angelina. I liked how the story was told from both their perspectives and the references to feng shui have renewed my interest in the art.
