Whenever acquaintances ask me what Buddhism is or what it's all about, I hand them my copy of this book - and order a new one. This book goes through all the basics in a sincerely personal, friendly, daily-life-oriented manner that I'm certain pretty much anybody can relate to, AND it's all genuine, not a simplified "for Westerners" version and there's no attempt to "sell". For anyone wondering what Buddhism is, really, and how it might relate to them, I can think of no better place to start finding out than with this book.

Spacious Passion is one of the most helpful Buddhist books I've read for a long time.

Ngakma Nor'dzin has made the Eastern teachings very accessible to the western mind set by explaining the vast and ancient Buddhist view in a simple and modern way that seems to explain itself through our own every day experience.

Spacious Passion explains a great knowledge of Buddhism which I have found hard to understand before from traditional scripture and teachings.

Over the last year of reading the book as a kind of text book and working through it, giving the teachings time to unfold into my reality, I have found a lasting peace thanks to the efforts of Ngakma Nor'dzin. Thank you

Ngakma Nordzin did a great job of crafting a book which introduces her audience to Buddhism via a teaching that is sometimes called "The Four Thoughts That Turn The Mind to the Dharma." She uses language that is easy to understand, yet clearly communicates many of the core values and ideals of Buddhism. She uses interesting anecdotes to illustrate points and organizes the material in a way that is easy to grasp. Her writing is also free of the pedantry that makes most Buddhist books inaccessible to lay audiences. After reading this book, you will feel motivated to practice!

5.0 out of 5 stars Clear, Simple, Articulate... 20 Nov. 2014

Ngakma Nor'dzin Pamo writes in such a way as to be clear to the lay reader. So refreshing, so spot on in unpacking what has heretofore be lofty concepts. She is clear, simple and articulate and most helpful. Deepest of bows across the oceans to you.
