Product Description

In South Central Los Angeles, gang warfare is rife, this is the way of life and it's hard to break away from the constant battle.
Bobby lives in a perpetual cycle of violence and incarceration. Recently freed from jail he returns to the only life he knows, back to the Deuces gang where his best friend Ray Ray is now leader. He learns that his girlfriend, Carole, has given birth to their son but is pressured by Ray Ray into murder and is hauled back to prison. This time he returns a changed man and is determined to save his son from the doomed life of a gang member.

Great US Gang Film. When I first watched this film a few years ago (10-15), I didn't really understand the Father's anti-gang mentality. Apart from the fact that he does bird for something he done for the gang. However, being a bit older now, and our perspectives of life change as we get older I can see the Fathers side to things. And also the fact I'm not American and live in Essex, we have no idea what the gang culture has been like over in the US/LA.
Having watched a few more documentaries and read about the gang culture over in La, I can get a grasp of it's ugliness. Which I think is put over well in this film. But a good film none the less.

Oh, be careful it's only Region 1. I had trouble trying to watch this one, that's why it's been given a 3 star.

if you are a fan of hip hop music, and black, hip hop, ganster films, well this is an essential film. This film is up with menace 2 society, boyz n tha hood, new jack city and juice.
hence why that spoof film was made dount be a menace to south centeral why sipping juice in the hood'.
and a spoof film is the higest form of flatery and helps to show the impact of this film.
this is a very entertaining film if you are not a fan of this genre aswell.

Wonderful story and played out beautifully, The performance by the actors was great and I class this movie A grade, Worth watching and buying for your dvd collections, something different, Mother no good, Father in prison and boy left with a drug dealer. No more information as to spoil the movie would be a pity and that is for you to find out. Fantastic movie.
