Review

"A wonderful representation of the power of magic to help everyone - wherever they are on their journey - weave the life of their dreams The spells work in conjunction with the moon as the book guides you to creating your highest life. This book is for everyone who dreams big, and is willing to go within to magic those creations into their reality." (Rachel Willis ‘The Psychic CEO’, Founder of Radio Lightworker and Editor of Lightworker Magazine)

"I love this book! Ursula strips off her logical, left-brained, hypnotherapists cloak to reveal some deeply personal insights into how moon magic and psychic skills have become a part of her life. The fact she truly bares her soul, including her insecurities and foibles, makes the book all the more authentic. The Source can help anyone uncover the natural magic inherent in everyday life, and to find their true purpose." (Katy Evans, editor of Soul & Spirit)

"Amidst the ocean of MBS or esoteric books available, only very few stand out as authentic and worthwhile, let alone enjoyable to read. This one doesn't stand out, it jumps out. Its highly accomplished author demonstrates a near-perfect balance between the intellectual and intuitive, the academic and arcane. I recommend it highly: it'll plug you into a rare stream of most eloquently channeled wisdom." (Barefoot Doctor)

"This remarkable story shows how Ursula learns to move beyond wondering whether she should medicate herself to the possibility of actually listening to what Mother Shipton is telling her. In opening up her belief system to the bizarre and the unlikely Ursula learns far more than she had ever expected and is led from a world that can be measured and explained into a world of bizarre and extraordinary magic that she then seeks to share with us all" (Isabel Losada, Author of Battersea Park to Enlightenment and For Tibet with Love)

"Weaving the web between mind and heart, myth and magic ,Ursula has created a sacred marriage uniting the two worlds as one. Spell binding" (Barbara Meiklejohn-Free The Highland Seer, bestselling and award-winning author of The Heart of all Knowing)

This book is bold, brave and not for the fainthearted! It is so different to any other book, and brilliant in its ability to literally grab you and force you to look at yourself and your life in a way that you may never have done before. It forces you to clear out the closets, dig deep into the hidden parts of your life, and really review who you are and who you want to be.
It is full of magic, both ancient and modern. It is a book to be read, reread, and then read again. You will want to go back and work through the steps, the magic in its pages is real. The steps work. I have seen it and experienced it for myself.
All I will say, is that if you are going to follow the processes and the rituals and the rites, make sure that you are clear and specific about what you wish for, very clear and very specific because the chances are you will get it. And often more than you bargained for. A masterpiece. I love it and so will you.

I must confess that seeing a book with the word 'magic' on the front page conjoured up thoughts of wands, Harry Potter, and pulling rabbits out of a hat. How wrong I was!!

This book is a different type of magic - the sort that begins to weave it's way into your life as it weaves it's own power. Through simple ritual based exercises to activate your own magic Ursula James has given the reader access to the energies that shift lives and not one needs an eye of a bat or cauldrons. It's everyday magic welcomed into your life - just as the title promises. It works too! After doing the very first ritual some magical changes happened to and for me shifting situations that had been stuck for ages seemingly with no solution or change. All in two days. And this still continues now...

What makes the book even more prophetic is the background true story of Ursula's own life told with utmost candidness through her journey from corporate work and her false identity of who she really was to the desire for suicide and the re-emergence of magic courtesy of a long held connection with Mother Shipton. It's a poignant often tear jerking story much of which we could all identify with (which makes it a great read as she really does identify with us the reader and what we maybe going through). Using the magic in her own life transformed it and I'm sure others will experience the same. She brings a human side to a spiritual book and blends them magnificently for me.

In all honesty it was a book I was glued to as soon as I picked it up and it has very much left its mark on my mind and in my life. I can say for certain that magic DOES happen. Thank you Ursula so very much!!

I've been reading and re-reading The Source for about three months now and thoroughly enjoying it. A friend bought it for me and I promptly bought it for another friend. We're working through it together - a modern day coven of sorts using Skype to do the meditations. Until reading the book, I'd pretty much been oblivious to the phases of the moon, and the subtle influence it exerts on me. There's something surprisingly reassuring about undertaking rites and rituals to coincide with the waxing, waning, full or dark moon. The book has allowed me to take stock of my life, confront the things that were holding me back and be less fearful about the future. And strange as it may sound, I have found some magic.

Love this book. If you feel life is getting on top of you, you need help with decisions, feel let down, hold grudges and want to get your feelings and thoughts back on track this is the book for you. I have felt like a different person since working my way through The Source. Each chapter is short and easy to read and follow. Nothing sinister is involved and you start to feel loved and wanting to love life again. I can't recommend Ursula James highly enough. If you are undecided if to buy this book, take a leap of faith and do it, you won't regret it!

This book is ideal for the complete novice who wants to learn more about working with the phases of the Moon. Written from a pagan/celtic stance, it provides easy to understand rituals and ceremonies that can be used with the different moon phases. The author shares her personal story and journey of how she came to learn to do this which is supportive (and entertaining at times) for the reader.

The Source is a fantastic book that combines the mysteries of magic, witchcraft, and the moon with practical self-help tips. The author Ursula James shares with the reader her own journey to find herself and fix the problems that have kept her from achieving her full potential. With the help of a long-departed soul, a witch called Mother Shipton, Ursula begins a journey to help her face, and ultimately overcome the challenges in her life. From dealing with jealousy and resentment to arrogance and greed she tackles each negative emotion with the help of Mother Shipton, whose wisdom is shared through a trance. Each negative emotion is an obstacle in achieving life's goals and happiness, and each must be dealt with through a series of exercises.

Each chapter includes a ritual, rite or a trance to be done during a specific phase of the moon. Rituals mark the start of the process, Rites are actions which manifest the changes, and Trances connect us with the Source in order to gain a clearer perspective on life. The exercises can be simple or challenging (depending on what problems you want to tackle) but are clearly explained and easy to follow. The author offers examples from her own life in dealing with and overcoming her struggles, which help illustrate the steps you need to take.

Overall this book is a joy to read! It reads like a magical novel, but one which can actually help you change your life. The exercises are interesting and fun to do and everyone enjoys a good challenge. You'll be surprised how much you can learn about yourself and what truths these exercises will uncover! Thoroughly enjoyed it!!
